I've just found this on Greenlight looks very nice to me.

Oh, looks really good. So many new games with incredible ideas and nice visuals. I may not love Steam, but it is "responsible" for many of these projects.

Iron Sky: Invasion.

Diaspora: Shattered Armistice, a free Battlestar Galactica fanmade space sim, is now available for download!

 

The quality of this game is excellent. It's built on top of FreeSpace 2's Open Source Project, just like Wing Commander Darkest Dawn is, but this is so much higher quality; the music, the (awesome) ship models, the combat system, it all reeks of Battlestar Galactica, sweet!

It is hard to believe such projects are made at all. :bows deeply to everybody involved, multiple times:

 

Games and technology have made leaps, but modding projects still impress me the most. Incredible.
