This thread also inspired me to boot up a game. Superhuman. No saves. She's a beast. Got a Sectoid base I just can't lick. It's defeated 3 skyrangers of my best men. Next I'm waiting until I get blasterbombs, then I will take out that control room and exit on turn 1. At least that's the plan...

Take the risk and stay. If you nuke the control room then there's a half decent chance you'll take the leadership too; without them there'll be no more psi attacks. Even if you don't get them, odds are the greys who do die will give the enemy enough of a morale hit that you can quickly mop up.

 

There is very little that a single blaster bomb can't solve, and what it can't handle will usually be solved if you use two.

Oh good, can I volunteer too then? Dying in horrible ways is fine, but I will need separate facilities on the Sky Ranger, natch.

You won't be this picky when a mission goes bust and we're all running for our lives, I'm sure. ;)
