October 27, 20241 yr Ah, they did pretty well with the guns in STALKER, glad to see. Loved the games. Somehow I don't think I'll be playing STALKER 2 on this comp, it is cca. 8 years old laptop... But has been holding its own, at least with the game's I wanted to play.
October 27, 20241 yr @SV: regardless of capability in terms of performance, keep in mind even quality components don't last forever, depending on how intensive the usage. I had a desktop PC that lasted me nearly 20 years but in the end the motherboard capacitors started swelling and it was done - RIP!

I had a desktop PC that lasted me nearly 20 years but in the end the motherboard capacitors started swelling and it was done - RIP! Absolutely. I am pleasantly surprised to see it last this long. But it did serve me well to get an extended warranty. Both the screen and motherboard were exchanged during the extension! At the end the company said they can't change the motherboard once again as the keyboard died, so I had to settle for the screen. Not at all a problem as I almost always used an external keyboard anyway. But the next iteration will most definitely be a desktop. Probably around my 50th.
