EA has released four new screenshots of the upcoming C&C 3: Tiberium Wars, also has announced the comeback of some dear old GDI units that were first seen in Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn.

Mammoth Tank:

The Mammoth Tank is the Global Defense Initiative's heavy hitting, thick-armored war-machine. When it was developed, it was so immediately intimidating to Nod that Kane specifically targeted their production facilities to keep them off the battlefield. The two giant tank cannons are its most obvious threat, but it is also armed with rocket pods to deal with smaller targets. The most important aspect of the Mammoth is the extremely heavy armor which provides a level of battlefield resiliency unrivaled by anything seen in the Tiberium Wars.

Orca:

As the Global Defense Initiative's ultimate fast-attack aircraft, the Orca first appeared in the first Tiberium War's ravaged battlefields. It was quick, mean, and armed with air-to-ground rockets. Orcas were a crucial element in hit-and-run attacks, especially in areas of complex terrain. GDI's ground vehicles aren't classically as agile as Nod's, so fast attack fell mainly on the shoulders of the vulnerable yet dangerous Orca.

There's another Tiberium article at IGN.

Mike Verdu: Sending unprotected infantry through a Tiberium field is not a good idea. Contact with Tiberium can be deadly; you don't want your soldiers coming close enough to the crystal to touch it and potentially wind up infected. In addition, the process of matter transmutation - where Tiberium converts anything it touches into more Tiberium - gives off harsh radiation. Absorbing a fatal dose of radiation inside a Tiberium field wouldn't take long at all. Transiting even a medium sized Tiberium field would result in megadoses of radiation and the symptoms of radiation poisoning would manifest very quickly.

They sure took their time to appear. I always believed from the 1st C&C that whatever tiberium is, it wasn't a cosmic accident. However, it's purpose wasn't terraforming earth into a suitable alien atmosphear but rather that earth was suitable for "cultivating" tiberium and that the alien race simply planted it. Now they've come to harvest :). Well, that's what I believed then, and is what I will keep believing unless they show me otherwise.
