You are ?! :) Well, since Aftershock picks up from the ending in which most of the planet's inhabitants are evacuated to clear the grounds for the aliens' experiment, that question makes perfect sense. However, it pays to remember that five decades have elapsed since the events that took place in Aftermath, and there's a whole new reality to get acquainted with. What happened to Earth ? What of the aliens ? Plenty could have happened in the meantime.
