Wow that looks pure Enforcer, which most X-Com fans wouldn't give a chance (unfortunately).
-

Sometimes when I'm feeling low or suicidal at the state of the crappy world we live in I think back to happier times, like when I was playing the original X-Com and i wish i could play it again. Then, i remember that technically i could but that it would probably be a betch to get going. Or would it? I have the game. But i'd likely need some patches, would I? And how would i slow the game down on my modern pc? Are there any good mods that would be worth adding? And was there a difficulty bug on this or was it TFTD? Seriously, how big a deal is it to get the game running these days?

*bump* we all want to know more!

Bah, you rookies have forgotten to include in this timeline the scenario from "Ultimate Civilization 2 - Classic Collection" in the "Fantastic Worlds" scenario, where X-Com forces have to do...something....been a long time...hmm, might have to reinstall this and check. All i can remember was how awful a cash-in it was!

Ah, its a very late one where you are storming a factory with a train behind and a lot of panzerkleins around. The online FAQs tell me the docs i need are in the upstairs offices, but theres no documents anywhere, and i dont feel i did so much damage as to have removed them all from the screen. Very frustrating, but i might just bite the bullet and load an earlier save methinks.

Ok, in a nutshell my problem is i want to finish the original Silent Storm. Like all good pc owners I have to reformat my hard drive once in a while so at this point all i have is the save games from the last time i played it, maybe a good year ago. Whacking the saves into the installed game aint hard, but thats not my problem. Problem is I installed SS a while ago, added my saves and was happily playing for a while until i realised i couldnt complete the level i was on! The documents i needed to collect were just not present whatsoever, which i convinced myself of with a lot of trial and error. My theory is that the copy on the install i took the saves FROM is a different version I'm putting the saves into. There's been at least two patches i think, so this is my problem. Everything else is fine, baddies etc. Just no documents where the online FAQs tell me they should be. Anyone know of a way to tell from maybe looking at the saves what version of the game they were from? Hope that made sense....!

Interesting - what stage are you at in attempting to use these properties? Do you have an ongoing dialogue with anyone who currently has a say in the use of the properties?

Bloody hell its Detonate! Give me a shout mate if you want me to post you this stuff (cant remember if you have broadband etc). There is no movie as such, the guys gave it a go before realising how mental it would be to do, and 2 years later made this mockumentary about their efforts. I've only flicked through it so far but I've been impressed, looks like a lot of work went into it.
