These mechanical menaces have a few nasty tricks up their sleeves - including aerial assault bots, swarms of snake-like fiends, troops that can insta-kill your soldiers, walking tanks, and even dangerous mecha bosses (...)

I may not like what Braben ended up doing from the single player game promise, and I don't exactly know what he's doing with the Horizons (is it really a stand-alone game, is it just an expensive expansion, wtf) but I gotta hand it to him... Obviously he chose the correct development model and he has a working game. He started "small" and is adding new and new stuff. Star Citizen will bring very little new to the table (if at all) and even No Man's Sky with its planetary content may be completely inferior when it comes out. Bravo, Braben.

@SV: I guess we'll see what "flies" and what doesn't when completion happens. Still, these days, even on release such games are never quite done. Man, I miss those times when you bought the box and that was it, the whole game really was in your hands... tongue.png
