    Every new game I start, at the soldier equip screen there are invisible weapons. So far I've only noticed it on one soldier.. If I put a new weapon into his hands it also vanishes and my game crashes.

    Hi Tyco, I got a crash when exiting the soldier gear equip screen to go into battlescape. Crashed at 0xC000000 trying to access 0x001901E4. I noticed just prior to this one soldier was missing a rifle, and when I plced the cannon into his hand it vanished but it's weight still appeared in the soldiers carry weight. Let me know if you need any more information! I'm using the latest version

    A little something I'm noticing in the battlescape on night missions. Soldiers appear to "see" aliens at a great distance even though they are in the dark. The red number 1 doesn't appear, but the soldier stops in his tracks as though it's seen the alien. I can then open up my map and see the blue dot where the alien is in the dark

    Hey Tycho I think I found a bug with 1.32.2, it seems that the difficulty is becoming 'stuck' when abandoning a game to start a new one. At least with UFO interceptions that is.. For example if I start a new game on veteran or above, UFOs have the new difficulty. If I then abandon that game and start a new game on Beginner or Experienced, the added UFO interception difficulty is carried over to the easier game setting

    Double click movement still seems to be enabled regardless of selecting it to '0', and I also get the same crash as ElfKaa after having shot down a UFO

    Ok then, so it would technically alter research/engineering times as well? Say if I research an autopsy with 50 scientists using the mod.. it will take longer than vanilla because i'm only using 25 scientists? I'm probably confusing it more than it needs to be, just trying to work out what it actually does to the game. I was also wondering if there were any simple way to slightly reduce the amount of damage aliens take when using the 'Know thy enemy' mod. I love the idea but it basically makes the game near impossible on superhuman early on. I've spent nearly a whole clip on 1 sectoid

    Sorry that this is likely a silly question but I was wondering about the human limits mod. Does enabling this simply make the research/engineering power half that of vanilla? So 50 scientists is now really only 25?

    Seems that if I have HQ4x enabled this slows down the games performance dramatically.. Could Tyco or anyone else explain if they know why? Or how to fix?

    No, it has nothing to do with those settings. What i'm talking about is the actual frame rate of the game drops to a very slow snail pace when intercepting UFOs. Its as though the CPU is being completely used up when intercepting. It's a frame rate issue

    I appear to have a sudden issue with my game out of the blue. My interception of UFOs has come to a grindingly slow pace.. before it was running fast and smooth but now when intercepting, the UFO moves so slow and choppy. It takes one missile about 10 seconds to reach and hit the ufo. I don't think it is this mod specifically that has caused it since I have been using this mod for months now.. but perhaps someone might know why this has happened? I have tried re-installing my drivers but that hasn't helped. Very strange. Any knowledge or help is greatly appreciated

    Hmmm, well there must be something else going on because my INI doesn't have Base Retaliation in it. I definitely haven't added it in manually. Do you still have a copy of that patcher.dll that you sent me in our conversation a week or two ago? I can only determine that it has something to do with that. It was a new patcher.dll to fix the aspect ratio problem

    It's ok Elfkaa I figured out what it is. Tyco, do you remember sending me that updated patcher.dll? It appears to be causing the crash with the sectoid autopsy when Alternate Research Tree is set to 0. I had a suspicion so I tried the old patcher.dll and there is no crash

    Hey Tyco, I'm experiencing a game crash upon completing the sectoid autopsy. I'm unsure if its only the sectoid because I haven't found any other races yet to see. It crashes if I have Alternate Research Tree=0. Xcom crashed at 0x444B67 with error 0xc0000005 trying to access 0xE946FBEA
  20. Yeah it's an annoyance, especially since Golden hack looks to have so much promise as an extensive editing tool, offering so many ways to alter stats of almost everything. I have actually managed to to alter the UFO stats with Golden hack and went meticulously through the exe and changed all the alien stats back to default with the help from Tyco. If anyone happens to be interested to trying my harder UFO mod let me know. It's not really for the faint of heart, you WILL lose interceptors even engaging the small variety. Even the very small scout can now fire it's weapon
  21. Actually I didn't think about it like that, very good point. That would eliminate the need for a Mind Probe, which I like using. I much prefer your idea of making the alternative colored aliens more of an indication of their difficulty. Land at a crash site with green floaters or alloy mutons and really toss up wether to abort or attempt to take them on
  22. I'm sure someone has asked this before, but do you think OXC will see new colored aliens on specific ranks? Say a Floater commander wearing green while everyone else wears normal purple etc? would that be even possible?
  23. Luke, I was just curious as to wether any of these OXC mods would work on regular ufo defense. Say for instance the different colored aliens, and the inventory images? I'm not trying to derail any discussion on oxc I, I was just curious if there was a way. Cheers
  24. Yes, but for now I prefer the normal Collectors Edition modded. OpenXcom's interception is extremely choppy and slow, as a a few other small features, I think these will eventually be fixed but until then I won't use it. Luke, do you have any idea on another solution for my above problem?
  25. Hi guys, I'm running into a lot of obstacles in trying to edit the stats of the UFO's in order to make them tougher to shoot down. Stats such as their damage capacity and how much damage their weapons does, the firing intervals, the range etc.. So far this is my problem: Been using UFO Golden Hack which offers excellent editing options on nearly everything within the game. The changes save no problem, but the editor seems to have a bug where once I press save it changes all the Alien stats to that of the hover-tank and are then stuck. I've also found Jennifer Stein's X-Com editor which offers the same UFO stat changes but nothing saves and just simply doesn't work for me. Basically all I want to do is alter the UFO stats.. Can anyone please help?
