Thanx dude... i will... just had someone steal some sounds from my soundmod for combat mission 2 without giving credit... not only that but the arse has the balls to go into MY thread (announcing my new soundmod for combat mission 3) and shamelessly plug "his" mod... ive heard that his mod also includes sounds from another guys soundmod...

  3. well it just might help... you see there are two different ways of "being dead" in the game... one is when you are in fact dead and beyond medical aid... thats when your stuff drops to the floor... inventory that is... the other is when youre "unconscious"... in that case you can be helped by a medic between missions (big deal in the demo right?)... when someone is unconscious they dont drop their inventory (but their hand held items)... so if you really want the stuff in his inventory... just shoot him in the head a couple of times... :?

  5. well my mod (and my upcoming mod) removes all sci-fi elements except PK's (those are, as mentioned, main parts of the story)

Well it seems that some of the things i have promised for my new mod wont be in it (at least not in the first release) i havent removed any female characters, havent improved the "physical" range of weapons (but doubled the "on-paper" range of rifles and MG), no scaling of weapons damage (as of yet... too much work) and finally no fix for the flying bodies when hit by mg fire (asked bandures, but i think hes tired of me since hes not answering :? ) ETA on the mod is not set... right now im in the middle of the quite tedious task of setting up uniforms for all the player characters and the other player operatives... after that i have to sort out the equipment for random encounters so there will be no more wierd combos like brittish smg's on russian soldiers and german mg's on brittish gunners... both these tasks are very repetetive and quite boring... so right now i can do something like one or two uniforms per day... and tomorrow i start school again and that takes presidence... sorry... OT: not much happening on these forums is there? what happened... everyone stopped playing and modding the game or what?
  7. Well the only ones you can play so far (i think): 4414 4413 4412 all of these are the autoplay maps... on all other maps you either start too close to eachoter or some teams start in limbo...
  8. Open up the editor and open some maps, in the object id there are two sets of numbers... type in the first set... like 4414 for the village in Autoplay... btw. i think only the three autoplay maps are good for hotseat since you start way to close to the other teams on all other maps...

Naaaw... scratch that... ive tried this with a new "from scratch" mod... hell i even re-installed the game before patching it up and then trying to change the animations in a brand new mod... no go... but ive given up on that and started doing the other things in the mod for now... just a real drag having to do that monotomos work from the last mod all over again... oh and while trying to import (export) new sounds it crashed... again... well as is all too comon, the new patch has fixed the old problems and added new ones...
  10. well i downloaded the patches (only took me just under 3 hours...) and then it turns out i cant use my old mods (something about missing things in the RPGWeapons) and i cant change the animations (that worked fine in the old version of the game...) so now im slightly annoyed... ill contact bandures and see if this can be remedied :evil:

  12. that would be our beloved friends over at JoWood i believe :evil: i myself had the fortune of being friends with someone who owns a computergames store so i pestered him until he imported the game... he imported 2 copies just in case the game was good so he could buy it for himself ;o) i gave him my burnt copy to try it out... hope he likes it!

Well i found someone to import the bloody game! so now i will patch it up and go on a modding spree during the winter holidays... might even get to release my mod before the year is over if im lucky and the damage already caused to my mod is reversible... otherwise i will start from scratch wich will take longer ofcourse...

Hmmmm... i seem to recall one mod where it did... oh well... in my new mod (aptly called "Oddballs_Mod_v1.0) i will include some of the following: 1.Ap costs for picking stuff upp, changing between team members and so forth. 2.Changed uniforms and mods 3.NEW (although not imported) uniforms and models 4.OddballsRealism1.1(TM, patent pending) wich includes such things as: no sci-fi weapons (that includes the RPD), non-PK AT-rifles, Correct ammo (30 shots in Bren, .45APC in M1 tommy etc), Fewer female characters (only soviets used female combat personel), longer weapons and grenade throwing ranges. "realistic" weapons damage (well more realisticly scaled anyway) and correct weapons on enemys (no more russian guns on brits in england) 5.new equipment "markers" (such as MG ammo pouches on characters) 6.more durable terrain (no more tearing down brick walls with SMG fire) 7.less power in shots (no more flying opponents when using MGs) well thats all i can think of right now... most of these are already done, but since the game goes all screwey right now it will have to wait until the patch comes out... and then until a crack comes out too... but if that works ill buy the freakin game...
  19. well in my new mod (if the 1.2 patch works) i will set the enemy hide probability to around 5% when possible, and lower the hide (stealth) skill for all enemys... if i make the mod... :?
  20. yeah, bandures just confirmed it... one person sets up the mod and then the others connect to his SQL server... he said that it was best suited for LAN but he didnt know if it would be slowed down considerably by doing on the internet
  21. well i hope there is some way of doing a mod with more than one person involved in the process of making it... but i think it wont happen...
