    that wont work well atall soon. youl need atleast 2 lasers fairly soon as human weps stop effecting 2 of their shields cant recall which ones i think one if bio though.
  2. although there are a good amount of annoying semi big bugs id say its was very well done overall considering the rather noname co that made it.very little do u see the little guys make such a gereraly good game firstish try out.
  3. far as i can tell it just makes a better type of human powercell(u dont miss out there much cause all the human powercell weps suck)
  4. blowing a section of wall in the russion mission is probly the worst thing u can do. there is normaly 3 or 4 guys sitting behind it waiting to join the others.
  5. that happens with any mission if u leave it longenoguh. its not a sure thing but i never do alien bases cause their to hard to cap. the comp has a higher chance of doing them then i do.
  6. its a bug cause u cant launch interceptors if u change to a military base and dont wait.
  7. dont feel likeu are cheating with unlimited cells. 3 alien killing missions after i first got them i had more cells then i would ever beable to use.(i woulds rathered them fix the powercell research bug)
  8. pissy part is u realy cant ever get rid of the biomass. ice got a peice behind my permimiter surrounded with repulsers(like 4 or 5) and it doesnt go away just stays contained.
  9. advacned heavy armor and rocket turrets own base defence. the other deployables suck(the non deployable big guns are ok for ufo attacks.)
  10. the bigest reason they alwase seem to get that last rocket off is because regardless of how fast u kill them they alwase finish their last action first then die. this realy needs to be fixed.

    t6he falcon sucks(if its the blueish one that holds 2 shots) its extra damage is practicly useless due to the fact that it doesnt hold any ammo.

    definatly worth it. and they can use some mega good guns later on. dont wana specify what thay are thoguh(spoilers and all)
  13. id like to beabel to design each type of base(designing each base would get REALY tedious but it would be nice to beabel to do a template setup for each type
  14. ok heres the way to own base defence in the later missions. the key is campnig and lots of deployable rocket launchers(and 2 good psionics with mind controll weps) when u start out find out where they are comming from(usualy its most down 1 passage and a couple down another due to the crappy ai/pathfinding) set yourself up somewhat like this(ignore the . i needed a space filler.) ........: ----- ----------- ..................P P ; R i only placed one rocket cause its pretty likely that is all youl get into position in time. soon as the first one comes around the corner mindcontroll him. after a couple of seconds you shouold see where the other aliens are inthe coridor. if the are close then que up the rocketlauncher on the ground arouns the : make sure u que his entire load(just keep hitting a then clicking on the same ground tile. his rocket barrage will own jsut about ever alien in the passage and u can use your ps to clean up(it helps to equip a rifel or p90is wep on the rocket guys also)
  15. i wana see a way to deploy guns without having to fire them(so they are acutaly useful)
  16. id amost go as far as saying they just took an easy way out of writing ai for them and just passed it off as tacticle command
  17. after looknig throguh the many posts about psi defence probles(50% with the helm plus your natural defence) should be bloody high defence rating and aparently isnt. ive also noticed proplems with the alien plasma launchers. wearing identicle armor to aliens (or nearly identicle anyway) the aliens take 3 or 4 times as many hits with that wep as humans do. this leads me to believe that there is a good possibility that armor isnt working correctly. thoughts?
  18. dont even bother with the human laser weps they blow chuncks(the pistol isnt to bad as a sidearm untill u get advanced aliend lasers)
  19. mp7 is the best human wep by far imo(defiantly the best handgun skill wep) the big misconception with hard ammo i think is that ppl see hard ammo and think thing like big arsed cannonballs and massive shells. hard ammo is as it say hard. it doesnt splinter when it impacts
  20. anyone done any testing with the friendly greys and psi attack?(also anyone find a way to equip any armor on them?)
  21. i alwase noticed troops seem limited to the number of bases you have. i almost never dismiss troops with poor ratings unless they have no good wep skills atall. cause rember jsut cause their poor somewere doesnt meen they such(normaly they have a couple of mega high rates also) no wep skills then i just dismiss them and a new one will come soon.
  22. the mission wont appear till after the bio mass starts appearing. alwase seems to cmoe right around the time i finish trangent therie(sp) or whatever its called. the one that u need a bunch of autopsies to do.
  23. well if i recall plasma doesnt do jack against firebeatles due to their nature. however ive noticed the utter crappyness of plasma weps due to the ultra crappy range/fire time. it is by far not worth useing them(havent ttried the advanced ver of the yet though so that might be different)
  24. i just got a nice planter strat to work. i had nothing but advanced lasers on burst. then all i did was wait. i str 3 on eather corner(each covering 2 passages) and one left with normal grneades and clean up. i butchered all aliens in a matter of seconds. they managed to get 1 rocket off and thankfully it was only emp(wtf do these do anway?).
