Sad individuals. If they spent some of those 72 hours reading a book or taking a stroll outside they might actually get something good out of this. Wonder how long it is until someone gets the bright idea to sue GOG? "The stress of potentially loosing his games made this fine individual break down completely! Now he's left with no job, a giant mental hospital bill and a no family...". Or maybe "Gamer looses it over GOG and kills a small village..."? Would be refreshing if they found something new to blame. The "GTA made me do it!" story is getting old...

"GOG is back! We're better than ever, and to help our customers feel secure we've added StarForce to all games..." :( Hope they're just getting out of beta. GOG is a great store in both that it's DRM free and that they bring the good old classics back to us!

Heard about it, but never got to play it. Where did you buy it? Neither the developer nor the publisher has a link to "Buy" it seems. Wonder if they sell a lot... >:]

I recently got a HTC Desire. It's Google Android, and I'm quite pleased not to be part of the iZombie clan (proprietary bastards!) I can warmly recommend Android!

There are some free software out there to create installers I believe. Something to consider for the mod? Could have it automatically create backup of localization and so on, as well as providing the ability to uninstall.

If you've played the games you mention in modern time and feel that way, it's fine by me. I feel the only area modern games are superior is in graphics (and sometimes GUI), but that comes down to taste. Comparing Fallout and Fallout 3 is like comparing UFO Defense and Enforcer however, so I don't think that's a reasonable comparison.

Only things you're going to ruin is your desire to play new games Seriously though, lots of games and movies do not stand the test of time as you say, but others do incredibly well. X-COM, Fallout, Incubation, Beneath a Steel Sky and so on all play as well today as they did when they were released. Graphics aren't on par with today's games of course, but then again that's more or less the only thing today's games has. Initiatives like ScummVM, GoG and so on are excellent in my book!

I haven't spent enough time with it to conclude myself (it's hard ), but if you look at other posts in this forum surely some do.

Website. Last news post is from February 2010, so it looks like they're still alive and kicking. It's been a while since we did any interviews or similar though, so I guess it's time we checked status again.
