How to finish

Featured Replies

i have TOTD on psone and just can't finish the game.

i'm doubting the fact that it is possible to complete the game after:

3 floating base attacks,

8 attacks on enemy colonies,

various attachs on cruise ships and land supply attacks,

numerous large attacks on ships

im just getting pissed off with it now

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dontgetit:

Quick, research these two very important ingredients.

Submarine: Leviathan

End-Game research: "T'Leth, the Alien's City"

Oh, some high tech guns and gadgets would be nice, but are not compulsory. Armour is always compulsory - as it's part of the submarine research.

That's all you need to have researched to reach the final mission.

Now, how do you get all this stuff, I hear you asking? Read the following document. It's not a research tree guide - there's plenty of those out there on the net (some with graphics too!). It tells you how to obtain certain important-but-hard-to-get research topics that have been obscured by the evil, evil, research tree bugs in a dull and verbose manner.

TFTD: Bug avoidance Guide

It's probably not 100% accurate, but it's accurate enough to at least get you on the right track. Oh, ignore all the fluff, and skip down to section 7 if you want to jump right into it.

I've never played the playstation version of TFTD, but I'd assume that the research mechanics should be identical to the PC versions.

P. S: To actually win the game... well, I shouldn't spoil it for you, but I'd highly recommend bringing as many sonic pulsers as you can along if you like to use them. There's not one alien in T'Leth that carries one. So much for noble art of Just-In-Time grenade field acquisition. :)

i've been trying to find the pc version but cant seem to locate it, any ideas where i can aquire it from

You BOUGHT TFTD?!

You actually BOUGHT TFTD?!

Well,if you bought it already, then it must have come with

a Manual,didn't it?

If it didn't...........

(Did it?!)

yeah i bought it for £3. the manual was there but the manual don't explain the concept of researching things in a certain order
i hated t'leth, my SWS' coulnd get through the locks that were everywhere, lucky for me i stocked up on the sonic pulsars and i could "jimmy" them. It is strongly advised that you bring the sonic pulsars for your own protection. even though i only lost 1 guy during t'leth
I saved and loaded the first time I went through T'Leth. I brought ten troops and four tanks. I kept them all alive, but when trying to go through one of the large elevators to the next map, I found there wasn't enough room for all my troops!! Had to leave a tank behind.

I lost one guy that the aliens MC'ed on the second level. Everyone else made it to the end, but kept running out of energy on the last level.

P.S. NO reloads. :)

For me they were almost all in the first few rooms. Killed 3/4 of them in two turns. Then I had to leg it around that massive spiral for 2 hours, killing maybe 3 aliens along the way.
