Space Voyager
A shortish update...https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/SotS%20TAR/screen0002-27.jpg Now... we face a dilemma. To enslave or not to be...https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/SotS%20TAR/screen0004-25.jpg This game is on a rather straightforward course toward our victory. Unless we go somewhat off course. We can for instance NOT research AI slaves, go for... factories?... and BOOST RESEARCH. It depends really. Are you tired of this game? We can wrap this up relatively easy and with less updates. You want an AI rebellion?! We might loose. Shouldn't, but might. We have the virus, this is a bonus. Ai starts with all our research and has no limitations on research tree. And needs no colony ships. What say you?

Space Voyager
In my threads it is usually no use waiting for 10 votes, so AI rebellion it will be! https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/Smiley/fear.gif Recommended ways to battle AI:https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/Smiley/smcomp_hate1.gifhttps://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/Smiley/smcomp_hate2.gifhttps://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/Smiley/rtfm.gifhttps://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/Smiley/run_away.gif and universal https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/Smiley/hump.gif Haven't had an AI rebellion in a loooong time. Space Voyager
https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/SotS%20TAR/screen0001-28.jpgRemember our empire, it may be a while (if ever) before it will get back to its present glory. Hell yeah!https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/SotS%20TAR/screen0003-25.jpg HELL YEAH! https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/SotS%20TAR/screen0004-26.jpgResearch boosting FTAIR! Wooooohoooo!https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/SotS%20TAR/screen0006-22.jpgErm, what? What do they mean, killed by the virus?! Check on the empire!https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/SotS%20TAR/screen0007-25.jpg Well... I'll be damned. Due to us having the AI virus the AI rebellion FAILED. It did destroy enough to revoke all we have in AI research (until we get AI slaves) but this is really just a slight bump in our wrap up, not really what we were hoping for. Hmmmmmmmm... Our other save is 70 turns old... I'll see if I can gather the will to load it and go on from there. Will tell.
Sunflash
Ahahahahaha, that's great. I can just picture the researchers going "OKay why are we doing this this is a stupid idea. Who's got the virus, keep that handy." AI REBELLION. "Okay quick use that virus!" DEAD AI Leader: "Wait what was that bump?"Researcher: "NOTHING DOING." Space Voyager
Laugh all you want, deserved. Anyway, I will NOT gather the will to go back a quarter of the game, AI rebellion in its full potential will have to wait for another AAR. Right now I want to crush all opposition and try out Fallout 3. I really like this elf smiley. I don't know why, must be Tolkien's influence. Space Voyager
At this point, we research just for the sake of it. https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/SotS%20TAR/screen0003-26.jpg Very little of the research is actually being integrated into designs as there is very little building going on. We have a lot of fleets running around... So we have fun with stations etc. BTW, last time I said they are all too expensive. I guess trade station will pay out for itself, you can build them in very safe sectors and have a lot of extra safe traders. And perhaps sensors station here and there can prove its worth. Ha, a rare sight. https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/SotS%20TAR/screen0004-27.jpgHappened when AD made another rampaging fleet breakthrough and destroyed three of our well established colonies. First to tumble.https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/SotS%20TAR/screen0008-24.jpgActually the situation for them is not as grim as the fossils show as millions of them live and prosper (ok, they help us prosper) on our worlds all over the known universe. Another rare sight.https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/SotS%20TAR/screen0011-16.jpgPirates made an error - and attacked our Q-ship. I build those mainly as a sport as normal traders bring more money but this made it all worth it. Rarely do I see pirates so badly beaten. The second to go.https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/SotS%20TAR/screen0019-10.jpgNaturally, due to their CH being MUCH closer to ours than that of Morrigi, a lot more Humans live on our worlds. Not to mention that there is one last Human empire left to... persuade. Situation.https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/SotS%20TAR/screen0021-9.jpg We are very persuasive. Not very talkative, but persuasive nevertheless. https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/SotS%20TAR/screen0022-7.jpgFlagship. We have more fleets than Aiken Drum has colonies. I hope you are not still wondering about our final success. https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/SotS%20TAR/screen0023-14.jpg Smart move. https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/SotS%20TAR/screen0025-8.jpgI did offer them alliance just for kicks and they refused. https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/SotS%20TAR/screen0026-6.jpg There is peace. Space Voyager
Yup. They did come up with an impactor and armour-piercing fleet later, but it was too late. The numbers did the trick and they weren't able to recover. It is crap when your sectors start failing, trade dies away... You go broke pretty quick. And there is no "World Bank" to save your arse. In the short run, just to own it a bit later.
Veki
So, who's next? Humans, Liir or Zuul?
Space Voyager
I am taking some time off, I MUST try out Fallout 3 or my brother will haunt me forever. For some reason he is convinced I'm mission out on a better part of my life if I don't play this game. BTW, he doesn't have children yet. But thinking a bit further, I'd probably go for Zuul. Those merciless worshippers of their makers really are something extra special in SotS. Any special wishes?
Veki
Tell your brother you'll try Fallout 3 if he tries Fallout 2. Just one : Don't research AI virus.
Space Voyager
https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/SpaceVoyager/Za%20net/LMAO.png Deal. About the AI virus I mean. Considering we'll up the stakes a bit, I hope we'll get that far.
