Brigade E5: New Jagged Union was recently released in Germany, and our friends at Taktikzone.de had a chance to test it out:

 

PRO:

 

+ versatile, realistic combat system

+ good artificial intelligence

+ large selection of weapons and equipment

+ equipment and weapons versatile modifiability

+ many quests

+ 3 different factions selectable

+ large Maps

 

CON:

 

- bad localization with frequent translation errors

- outdated graphics

- little sounds and acoustic output

- bad pathfinding

- some quest bugs

- steep learning curve

Blitzlord set me straight on the translation. "became outdated to diagram" should be "outdated graphics" and "heavy entrance" should be "steep learning curve".

Most of those CONs don't sounds so bad.

 

Steep learning curve - can be over-come.

 

Dated graphics - are only a problem if you are trying to sell an Action RPG to the masses.

 

Bad localization with frequent translation errors - is typical.

 

So it appear this one may be worth checking out when it finally makes its English release in the UK or NA... sometime next year.

I absolutely love the jagged alliance team and their games, Unfortunately i don't speak or can read greman , is there a translated page, or would anybody be willing to translate it for me?
