March 31, 200620 yr According to RPGDot, Nival just announced Day Watch. This is the complimentary game to Night Watch in that you play the "other side": In the "Day Watch" we'll have an opportunity to play for the Dark Others. The main character is a young witch of the Moscow Day Watch - Anna. She was, actually, one of the main characters of the first game (NW). The characters will have more customization options. The action will take place not only in Moscow, but also in France and the US. The characters will have more powerful spells and abilities. You can read the original news post at RPGDot. Thanks for the heads up baby arm!
April 3, 200620 yr I was hesitating submiting this news. Not sure if the game was that interesting (here, more rpg than strategy, no ?), having not played the first part, and even considering the game engine used for it ...
April 3, 200620 yr Author Well, hopefully this one will be better than the first one seems to be. Reason we post about it is that they call it a strategic RPG, and that it's built on the Silent Storm engine.
April 14, 200620 yr Here's a Night Watch hands-on from GamespotNight WatchI liked this bit:"at least the game seems to have destructible elements in its environments, which was one of the best things about Silent Storm. We participated in a battle inside a Russian apartment building and watched as stairwells and walls were blown apart by all the magical spells--always a cool effect."

The massively destructible environments are maybe the most important and impressive part of their engine. They should use it as much as possible!
