First of all check steam Forums. Majority of the issue is that they've added MSAA. And any resourceful gamer will know that MSAA doesn't work on Unreal Engine 3. Not only that MSAA is pretty old stuff and is very taxing. But it's the best AA there is.

Here are my basic specs:

R290 GPU, i7-4770k, 16GB RAM - so technically 2-3 years old PC. When the game first launches it sets the details to max. So the first punch to the face is you see 20FPS in Main Menu. Ouch. But you go to options remove MSAA and you are OK. 70-80 FPS on my spec.

Then you start the game. Cutscenes are 30 FPS locked, that includes some cutscenes in games engine. Hard pill to swallow but fine. I've played just a little. Basically without AA I can keep on average 60-80 FPS during mission. But sometimes on action cam it can for a sec drop to 40. This mainly goes to moving action. There are also small delays when performing actions. For example you take a shot, everything is done, but there is a pause for 2-3 secs. It can get pretty annoying. There is no framerate loss during that.

Now the base. The second punch to the face I saw was 40-60 FPS variation viewing the new antfarm, 40 FPS on soldier promotion after the tutorial mission, and 30 FPS after first story mission when a soldier got Specialist promotion which spawned Gremlin drone.

That's far how I've got.

So all in all with such graphics and stuff, it should perform much smoother (excluding MSAA).

Older PC from 2013?!?!??!?!?! My newer laptop is from 2006!

Then again, my main problem is not the inability to buy one but the lack of room to place it. The laptop is on our dining table and we're not even moving it unless we have visitors. I have plans with the apartment and there, in the far future, there will be place for a comp. Even if I need to hang it and the chair from the ceiling!!!!!1111111!!!!11
