Damn! You're fast! And nah hahaha. As I said in the "Edit" section, I found the autopsies and all other XCAS data on my flash USB. I was just an idiot to forget that I put them there. And the data is a little under 60 MB worth so heheh...it'd be kinda tricky. Tho I can mail you certain specific parts easy, like all the stories we wrote or all the sim logs or such. I think the UFOpaedia pictures and such however take up most of the space along with perhaps mission briefing pictures and website structure. So erm, what are ya most interested in from XCAS/XCGS?

I wish I'd had stumbled back here out of pure nostalgia (which does happen still mind you), but here I am agonizing over losing both XCAS and XCGS webpages that were stored on my computer. All those logs, all those pages, the autopsies! Will no one think of the autopsies! Gone! Ah well...not sure if anyone managed to preserve all of that, but anywhosm. That's what drew me back here. I really hope all of you guys are doing well. Every month or so I have my "simming hour of nostalgia" so to speak of as I remember these times hehe. EDIT: I can't believe this! I forgot I had stored all the XCAS and XCGS data on a special USB key so as to make sure I wouldn't lose it...and then I forgot that I did it and found only an empty folder on the computer, thinking about how I could have deleted/misplaced it. ... Thank god I remembered - but dammit...I sure am justifying my internet nickname with this, eh?

Lol, I'm sure the turnout must've been good, but the thing is this...a lot of other simmers from the past hadn't made it. Like...ME! I was thinking of giving out a formal invitation to e-mails of just about anyone who was ever a part of X-Com simming (XCAS, XCGS even NAARO if you'd have the addresses). I'm sure that everyone couldn't make it on a specific time during a day, so we could just host the meeting the whole damn day. And whenever someone comes during the day they do. That sorta thing.

Hello to all who read this! Well well...so...XCAS has finally finished...unlike some other sim I could name heh ...but still. In any event, and in light of this event, I have a proposal to make. It would be a very simple thing I imagine, but however I feel that it would be something nice, at least that's my opinion. About 4 years of simming tends to produce many tales, many stories and much MUCH fiction, not to mention many friends. And, in order to relive it all and perhaps get the most out of it, I propose one final reunion in #XCAS. Everyone who has been simming, or even those who are just interested in what kinds of insane stuff we were doing, would be invited and it would last for as long as people wanted to stick around. It wouldn't be necessary to sim (though it would not be forbidden) but it would just be a meeting. To talk things over and see how each one of us is doing after all this time. I really have a feeling that it would be something great if we could arrange it. So...one last time...who's with me?

Since DH has decided to reanimate this little room with his post I might as well do the same and with a good enough reason too. I've just bought Enforcer recently but I have a problem with the installation. It says that it's missing a certain file called data3.cab when the installation gets to about 95% done. Has anyone experienced this as well? If so all and any help would be appreciated. But if not it would really be strange...the only explanation I could think of otherwise is that this CD is black market stuff and THAT is hard to believe considering I bought the game from a major games store..........this time.

Yup Bob! I remember making that kind of New Year's resolution about 2 years ago in XCAS. Heh...hope you get more enjoyment out of it than I did.

Take care bud. And to be perfectly frank on the note of your first sim and my GMing...did I really do that? Oh my! Those wild and lawless days. Anyways I'll do my best to get online after my standard computer gets back up. Just look me up on ICQ, I'll most likely be contacting you very shortly myself as I'll be setting up a new number thanks to the old computer shit-crapping all the data again. And you've really done damn well in XCAS. One of the key figures in its development no doubt. Not meaning to sound all paternly like or anything, but that's just to express how much your contribution really meant to me when we were both in XCAS. Heck the fights between Kacur and Scott I daresay were some of the best roleplays in the whole sim history... So anyways, take care and I'll be sure to call you up soon.

*BUMP* Heh... Tommorow at 19:00 GMT practice sim. I would've made it an official one had my ordinary computer not been shot to shit. But this time I have something planned out in my head...for a change. So try to make it people.

Newbies Ion? What newbies? But seriously I will be updating the site. Though I'll do it AFTER we've had our first practice sim, which won't be in the XCGS timeline. Anyway, not to worry guys. I knew that we'd need a few weeks to get started up and mobilized again so just try to make it on the Sundays. If you can't then I'll understand.

Well in any event, I'll be waiting each Sunday. So when enough of us gather together the show gets underway.

Allrighty. In that case things stand as they are. I'll be online each Sunday at 19:00 GMT anyway in #XCGS. When we do finally run our practice sim we then proceed with the story on the next weekend.

I don't know how much time there is for the rest of you to get this, but I was thinking if we could have a practice sim tommorow at 19:00 GMT so as we see how well we could manage to show up. So if anyone feels like showing up tommorow for some practice then come. And we'll get back on track with the XCGS storyline the next weekend.

Yes, you see, THAT has recently also seemed to turn up as a problem for me since my school has now decided to assign me some dance classes on the sunday and I STILL don't know at what time! Try to think of the time as the default 19:00 GMT for now, though don't swear by it since we might alter that later on. But for now just think of it like that.

As the resident musician of these 'ere boards I have but one word. DAMN! B) A most excellent remake of the original soundtrack! Its mood is a little bit of a more active, sharp spacey sound rather than the traditional dull spacey sound so...very good indeed. By the way I REALLY feel I should mention this, if you ever feel the need for someone else to compose some electronic music for your project (remakes of the old game music or not) then PM me and I'll see what I can do. I could use some practice after quite a while.

That may be possible too on my end, but we'll see. Just so as everyone knows we'll be discussing all of this on this week and next week we'll get back to your regularly scheduled roleplay and simming. So make sure your voice is heard this week on this issue.

Damn...that I forgot to mention. DH and I are discussing about swapping the XCAS and XCGS times. So the thing is that any of you who are a part of XCAS try to think that factor away. IF XCAS changed ITS time to Saturday and XCGS changed it to Sunday, THEN would you have any problem. Me thanks you for bearing with my forgetfulness in advance.

Okay! Things are as such. I'm pretty much ready to return with XCGS, BUT the problem has recently arisen due to me also being part of a rocker band. And this rocker band happens to play every saturday for the next 4 WEEKS!! So obviously a return to XCGS at this point, or quite likely also in the future, is very hard for me if I don't show up at the sims. Unless of course we schedule for a different sim time. So this is a poll that asks wether or not you could make it on sundays at the same time - 19:00 GMT. Really, I want to know how hard it would be for you to have sims on Sundays instead of Saturdays. Votey votey pleasey!
