Anyone played Bioshock? I heard that the team behind Bioshock2 is now the same team making Xcom. So I thought while I am waiting i could play Biohock 1+2, so I could get a sense off what to expect... Is it a good game and is there any truth in it is the same team??

Well I wont simply write it off, "just" because its a FPS instead of TBS, that being said I dont think its going to be as good as the orginal xcom series, they were/are perfect. But maybe its gonna be fun playing the tactical missions in FPS, a lot more spooky thats for sure! I am gonna watch this game very closely and of course I am gonna preorder the game (unless there is another competetion here on this fantastic website, and I can win the game here "Wink wink") and take the day off when its released! Just finished playing Xcom3, think I am going to play Xcom1 again. Thank you Pete for telling us that it is available on Steam.

Well I would agree that, The war with the Reticulans, has been great. But we should look for something new now. The X-com series was great, a little darker?? yes please I liked the X-com Apocalypse. Shooting down the ufo

I too have completed the game, but I never saw any soldiers from earth either....

Ok I did that just now and nothing happened, except he emptied the whole mine defusal kit and reloaded with the repair kit

I have completed the entire game now, but I never figured out how to defuse the mines..... Does anybody know how?? Or is it a bug in the game??? I have a technician with minor surveyor training, and a some pliers with the mine kit in it. But when I spot the mines, my tech wont do a damn thing!! I have tried clicking on the mine and the red icon above, but nothing happens. Once I made him attack it with the pliers and the damn thing blew up and all the kits were used up in one "shot"

I have tried throwing 2-4 pulse grenades on them, but nothing happens. So I usually take someone and make him take one for the team and have a medic and tech guy ready to patch him up.

Wonder if there is more than one way to end the game??? I have tried losing the mainbase, Completing it where the crater (mainbase) and the entire planet is green. And it starts to rain. Anybody seen anything different??

hehe yeah ok I didnt get any reticulan officers. But did wipe out the Reticulans. Then after some time, about the same time I had terraformed mars about 50% I got the humidity research options and advanced mining...... Weird.

Must be. It makes sense, didnt think of it that way...

Yeah and you can get some nice close up too But it is not very good when you want the bigger picture and there is a lot going on....

I have the same problem with moving to a specific point on the map. Or camera rotates on itself. Its on auto(the camera) Maybe it has something to do with that, but still it is annoying

I am missing one thing before I can research the final terraforming tech. I have completed both moon missions. And have recieved all the help from the laputations. Captured Matriach. Killed the reticulans but I am allied with the martians and expedition. Do I have to go to war against either of them and capture the commanders?? I have only captured a soldier reticulan

Does anybody know how much fuel/resource you get from the different icons?? I think I counted 3 different. Which ones generates most?? and how much do they generate?? Like one is kinda faded out with a frame around it The next one is yellow with a frame And the last one is also yellow but with no frame around it.... Because I got 10 fuel deposit and only lvl 5

Yeah it annoys me too. It's been countless times now where I sitting and trying to find the specific region.....

I Had a crash when I was loading a mission, where I had to defend the noth pole from beastmen. But so far it has been the only one...... Still it is annyoing because I will have to play the previous mission over again

Yeah I would have to say the same some kind of release date...... and loads of screenshots of different units, and battles You lucky lucky guy

I think it look to cartoonish too. But I agree if the gameplay and storyline is great, it dosen't matter that much with the colors. And ufo apocalypse was a really really great game...

Well I hope there is a lot of RPG But maybe a single "super hero" wouldn't be so bad. are we closer to a month it is being released?? Can't wait

I found a solution to the problem, I just loaded an earlier save file, and now I can play the game again. But it still crashes from time to time. So I hope they fix it with a patch.... Thx for your help and info Slaughter
