  1. It's all about tactics really - I used to get shot to s**t by greys with rocket launchers. I used the same squad but changed my eapons round a bit and kept loading the games until I got the right balance of weapons and stuff.

That would be cool - You could do like a galaxy thing and go from planet to planet and develop space ships and stuff.

Later in the game I've been using the snipers on the UFO mission jsut for the outside bit, but then packing them with shotguns and stuff as well for when they get inside.

    Robots would be f***ing excellent!!
  6. I think the colours are for the amount of ammo in each one - If you look at the green pack it has 1000 and the red 2000? A bit weird that you still ave unlimited power packs after installing the patch though.

Although there are a few topics floating around about what you want to see in a patch. I thought I would see what people would want out of an expansion pack. In terms of a story or change in gameplay? I wouldn't mind a few things like vehicles (like the submersibles from TFTD) and to be able to go into a few buildings. It would be cool to have a totally new Tech tree as well. The coolest thing I'd like to see would be to carry straight on from where the last one finished - so you have all your team and current research and you just go on from there? Any ideas from the rest of you?
  8. Yeah I agree, I've already payed for the game once. Although I can't honestly say I've never downloaded a game before

I think it's hard enough on normal to be really challenging which is cool as I personally don't like completing games quickly as I never play them again. I don't the game is long enough though. Would be cool to have more stuff to research as well
  10. yeah - I'm just popping off to the moon pretty soon and I still haven't come accross any power cells. I'm thinking it must be a bug? Has anybody ever researched them?

If you don't have the config.cfg you can just create one in notepad. I didn't have one even after running the setup so I created on with the follwing text and then just saved it in the install root: #!TXT#CFG_FILE# STRUCT "root" KEY "cheats" BOOL TRUE END_OF_STRUCT "root" make sure you save it as a cfg file and not a txt and your good to go - just hit shift @ at the same time and the worlds yor oyster!
  12. that would be cool actually - I've just been doing waypoints until they face the right way! This was really handy in TFTD!

isn't there a bug report topic in tech talk?
  14. doesn't that take ages even on max time?
  15. It would be cool to have those tank things again like in TFTD. I loved those bad boys!
