  1. yah I keep getting them in 1.3. The way points are on mountains or under buildings and the damn pilot is standing right next to the building and coming up to him does nothing. I got a saved game with it if anyone wants it.
  2. Just wanted to add my two cents: Alien Agenda: As far as I understand it the Reticulans are a hive minded society. This means that they are inevitably xenophobic and like a race of ants will try to either kill or enslave any aliens. Now because they are intelligent they on an individual level might praise things like peace and love but as a race would be rather indifferent to aliens and would rely on the guidance of the queen to decide on things like eradicating some back water planet full of unwashed and violent monkeys. Alien Combat: It's important to understand that what humans will be fighting are ALIENS. And as aliens they are use to fighting different wars. Examples include space combat and fighting other aliens of similar technological level. Now because they are in space evolution has forced them to use energy weapons. Now because of that they rely on fighting creatures that have energy weapons. So first their BVR equipment would be tuned to home in on energy signatures and because humans don't know the first thing about force fields of fusion propulsion the Alien radars would not track human fighters as well as they track other UFOs, so there Humans and Aliens would end up fighting in dog fights or at least in close enough combat for humans to use missiles that have no problems with homing in on big blobs of metal and biomass. And as pathetic as explosive missiles might sound hyper accelerated metal an the force of an explosion beat energy shields 9 times out of ten. Which brings me to Mêlée combat. Now energy weapons are nice but bullets go through energy shields like a hot chainsaw through really runny butter.
  3. when intercepting a UFO sometimes the video is green and blocky. Is this a bug, or a feature?
  4. oh, and one more thing: under any circumstance, and I mean ANY, there must NEVER, EVER be an under water expansion pack.
  5. Taking over a planet would kick ass. Just think about the joy of orbital bombardment, terrorizing the locals with evil earth critters like... cows... ok well not dropping in earth animals but orbital bombardment is a start. Then capturing a territory and setting up bases would be good. Vehicles would be great. Like X-Com's Mini Tanks and the later hover tanks. Anti-Matter bazookas used to OWN, would be nice to have those back. Set way points and watch a portion of the scenery reduced to vapour. More advancement in the suits would be good. As in more mobility, shields and maybe a jet pack. Better HUMAN weapons. The weapons already in the game kick major ass, but you could add some SAWs and .50 sniper rifles. Some two function weapons would be good too, like an M-4 with a grenade launcher attachment (A-La "say hello to my little friend" but M-4 and not M-16). Satchel charges and claymores would be good. Bual pistol firing and dual Ingrams would make guns useful for longer then the first five seconds of the game. Then some high end guns like 600 round tactical assault rifle from StarShip troopers. Alien weapons could improve too. The stun gas gun would be fun. Oh and Snarks, must try snarks (think alien version of the Vorpal Bunny). Oh and more alien types. Right now the Reticulans are all grays, but a variation would be good. Like a combined force of aliens from planets with different gravities and environments. Customisable Choppers and Intercepter air crafts would be nice. If not that then I'd like to see a SU-27/37 and F-22 for advanced millitary outposts. I'll check my list and see if anything else is missing.
  6. oh bugger. I turns out I didn't install 1.3 correctly. oh well I'll see if I encounter the bug again on this version
  7. simmilar bug on 1.3. arctic mission, bunch of Car-Crab enemies, and a way point on top of a mountain.
