  1. Yeah i got lucky, and most of them are pewter, old style wolves covered with fur tabards and little gubbins that one doesn't find on the plastics so much (although the new SMs for 4th edition have been exceptional with all the induvidual armour and extras) Thing is i'm a Blood Angels player at heart, so most of the wolves are still in that box in roughly the same condition I got them.
  2. I once did a deal with an ex-player like you (in that he had shit loads of models), I swapped one Space Wolves novel for a HUGE box of about 300 Space Wolves, including Leman Russ himself oO I haven't played for a little while, due to the relative paucity of players in my area, apart from the odd guys who inhabit the local GW store, wearing black trench coats and generally being strange.
  3. Lol do you remember the old Orks with the teleport gun that would teleport a rabid Grot inside the armour/clothing of the enemy? Great days... Shame the humourless bastards bitched and moaned that the Orks weren't 'serious' enough...
  4. I shan't play DoW again until the devs pull their fingers out and give us armies we actually want (for 'we' read 'I') I want Harlequins! NOW! I want to control a Solitaire and a Death jester *weeps softly* and I want a proper Grey Knights army. I wouldn't mind the Tau eithe,r just so I can enjoy killing them. Little vagina-headed freaks. *shakes fist*
  5. I think aliens invaded for resources - slaves, genetic material, all the booty of mother nature - oil, gas, metals. Maybe their brain thing could see the future. Maybe it knew that in the deep dark future Humanity would destroy it, so it made a pre-emptive strike in the hopes of wiping us out before we became too much of a threat. But that's a bit too much supposition, that sort of thinking leads nowhere fast.
  6. Real time that you an pause? You should keep your eyes peeled for Space Hulk. Vengance of the Blood Angels. I think that was one of the first games to use that feature. Bit old now though.
  7. Hurrah! My long awaited big break in show-buisness!1!!11
  8. It depends on the game for me, generally though I like to be able to take my time and evaluate the situation, otherwise in real time games I do something, then five seconds later realise that I shouldn't have, just as the artillery starts landing on my men. In a game like C&C where men are counted in the hundreds a bad tactical choice is never a problem, since the person who can build tanks faster tends to win. In a game like XCOM however, every man is worth his weight in Elerium and even one loss is a blow.
  9. Seems a rather daunting task.. where would one even begin with such a thing? Sectoids I assume?
  10. Unless the soldier is French omglyle lol I r teh racistst!!!?!1 I wonder if it would be too much to go through all of the aliens and try to build up some rather weak pseudo-science tfor them? i'd imagine that could be a rather long and interesting topic... What do you guys think of that?
  11. I can do a good God "Jesus... I am your father..."
  12. Sometimes VDM just oesn't seem to work. I had the same problem, but then APOC just seems to work under XP for me, albeit minus the sound. To be perfectly honest the lack of a game manual crippled me, I didn't have the slightest clue what I was doing, and so deleted it a few days ago. No point wasting HD space on it.
  13. I don't have a clue... I think it might be wise to poke Danial with sticks until he researches this further...
  14. I don't think 'eye' are the best way of putting it. I think (if this idea is good) that they have they are aware of frequencies like we are of sound, vision, smell, touch. It's just anther sense. 'Seeing' and 'eyes' are just an easy way of putting it in a concept we can grasp.
  15. Maybe the tanks only give out a small amount of electrical energy in a frequency that the Celatid can see?
  16. I think *link removed* have it on their resources page, don't have a link i'm afraid, just google it, should be your first result. [Edit by Zombie: removed link.]
  17. The idea of them actually seeing brainwaves, like we see anything else is really cool. I think that's feasable. Though, last time I checked, I didn't know what the hell I as talking about. So when someone with that there book-learning on this subject comes to argue the point; don't look at me.
  18. I dunno if this'll work and to be honest i'm too lazy to find out, but try alt+tab to minimise it, then right click the little XCOM box in the tool bar and see if you can set the window size in there. Using resore, maximise and the like. EDIT - scrap that idea, I tried it, but to no avail.
  19. A clan i'm part of in another game has a branch in Guildwars, they're called 'Holy Knights of Westmarch' or simpy 'HKW' they're good guys, not aggresive, always willing to lend a hand. If you need anything, look them up.

A gift from me to you, these are two videos of Malice Mizer, one of the bands i'm a mahoosive fan of. Le Ciel is a bit choppy (both of these were taken from TV) and grainy, Gardenia is (In my own very humble opinion) a better song, it's excellent quality (apart from a couple of small glitches in colour) and Mana (the guy with blue hair - yes it is a 'he') looks hotter and you see more of him than in the Le Ciel video. http://s34.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=07C4SAH...IJ0OJ7ER5ZLRBYX Le Ciel video http://s7.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=33S08IMMIF3ZW1IJ0I89MBH32U Gardenia Video This kind of music isn't to everyobody's taste, but go into it with an open mind, you might be suprised. edit: The files expired due to too many downloads or it got to seven days, I'll put them back up if anyone's intetested.

I'm really pleased at the moment, I just found out about a newish goth/metal/VK band called Annies Grave, and I found otu that BBC Radio3 are playing all of Beethovens work over the week of 5th - 10th of this month - symphony, quartet, sonata - everything
  22. Lol yeah Koreans are big on pen spinning, there's this particular type of pen (I'm not so pathetically sad that I actually know what it's called)in the video I llinked to it's a black one with white caps at both ends. That is supposedly the best type availabel, and you can't get it outside of Korea, so people actually trade western pens for them oO I enjoy spinning but some of these guys are just sad - they "mod" their pens, for instance, reversing the ink, marking the centre of balance, some people put LEDs inside them oO....
  23. Are you English? Strange question but Red Dwarf is very, very english with it's humour. It really depends on what series you get, there were eight in total I think, and they'r emostly excellent, though the later ones were a bit... well... crap (in my own opinion) basically the story is that Lister, some nodoby on a mining ship in deep space gets a bollocking from his boss and put in stasis on the ship (it's their jail), something goes wrong (I forget what) and he's stuck in stasis for millions of years, eventually waking up to find all the crew are dead, his cat (and it's descendants) have evolved into a stylish black man with pointy teeth called "Cat". And the only other company are the ships computer - a sarcastic bastard, and a hologram of Rimmer, an ass-kissing coward junior officer. And that's it, other characters come in (notably Kryton) and it just sort of plods along amiably. I' recommend it.
