if theres a wall in my way I shoot it, useful for getting through hedeges, but not fences. Why can't you climb them?!?! It makes no sense. Also I've started to use grenades more than before, not that much though

I never have a problem with crysalids, but i only fought them once in broad daylight (I never do night missions, i wait till daybreak) in a big open space, i set my men up in aline and waited for the crysalids, and got them all with reaction fire. What really scares me is etherals, I have only just got psi, so i have no idea the psi strengths of my soldiers, i seem to spend as much if not more time blasting MCed soldiers than etherals

actually i think Q2 is because there is no pilot, it needs one of your men to pilot it, don't know why (save money?)

I don't believe it!!! i finally get an etheral at great cost to my strike team, and the next 3 missions i capture 2 ehteral soldiers and an etheral commander, without trying!! :hmmm:

are heavy lasers any good? cause i've never tried them before

Early in the game I suffer horrendous casulties, the life expectancy of a soldier is about 4 missions, then this rises as I get power armour, Although recently I played an mission against a downed etheral terror ship, and then I lost loads and lost the mission, I spent more time firing at my own soldiers than the etherals

I would say it is a bit, but its to do with gender inequality, as there are restrictions on the battlefield roles of women. any way if i were to join the servicies i would join the navy, i don't think i could kill someone from close range like in the army, any way i checked out the web site and i find out that if you have been taking ventolin or asthma mediciences in the last 4 you're automatically disqualified. BTW this is the Royal Navy, I don't knnow what the american military is like on asthma, thats why I asked about Black Hawk Down and the asthmatic soldier in that.

I would think about joining the services but I'm barred from them because of my asthma, Have any of you seen Black Hawk Down? In it one of the soldiers is asthmatic, does america allow asthmatics into its armed forces?

Depends what I get, if I were to get an etheral commander (able to reaearch psi and get to the next research step) I would stop at nothing to get him. but if say 8 men died at a crash site and all i get was the usual stuff then its unaceptable

thats the prob, i've never caught a live sectoid leader or an ehteral, so I have no psi-stuff

I've been trying to get a live sectoid leader or etheral for ages now, I just can't do it, i've got guys with small launchers and stun bombs strapped to every availiable part of their armour and I still can't get a live one!

I don't like the way the promotion system works, it's ok if you use small teams, but i don't I max out the amount of men, and end up with a totally out of proportion amount of officers compared to troopers, Q2) "NEXT PLEASE" Q3) multiplay would be mental!!

They may be wounded, if thats so they are automactically removed from the ship and can't be put back on until healed

Like it says on the topic desription, it crashes, without warning, one minute i'm happily clearing out and alien crash site next minute i'm unhappily looking at my desktop, having just lost all my unsaved mission data. The screen flashes black then its as if I had come out of it properly, no error messege or anything. I think it may happne when I click to do something but I'm not too sure. Any one have any idead whats wrong?

I've just tried the dual plasma for the first time, and i see what you mean about the range, the picture looked like a cannon so I thoguht can't be any good, but i was wrong, the range is about the same as a stingray

I don't cheat though, I dispise cheaters, I'm saying I would only do it if the game was beginning to get boring for me, but that would never happen with X-com

Very bad my sympathies are with the families, as I'm sure all our sympathies are. any idea who did it?
