  1. how can underclocking the CPU using a util damage the CPU ? I still kept my x-com games , UFO defence , TFTD , Apocalypse . i hope they will run in winXP ? So i dont think i need to hunt for the x-com collector's edition Looks like the utility CPUKILLER the name doesnt mean it kills your CPU i hope , but it looks like it works in windows XP for those who need it click here
  2. Thx for that link Slaughter its all ok on the tactical side and Zapataz has the Strategic side I live in the UK .. and changed the keyboard Layout from English(United Kingdom) to English(US) and now shift+~ where ~ is the key left the number 1 key and above tab. The Lanuage is still English(United Kingdom) otherwise shift+~ would me shift+@ where @ is the key to the right of the semicolon key and i cant close the window when its shift+@. Does the RESMISSION put a rescue mission under the cursor ? CHANGEOWNER change owner of a base with out doing a capture mission ?
  3. found the bio mass , phew its far away from me , its got all of india and china i think. Im in europe and cover what the romans had or something similar all i need is a mission in the bio mass now so i can get a sample
  4. grenades own i love them ... get a nice launcher and its ... aliens go splat . shame you cant use a launcher, maybe a rocket launcher, to get into a UFO. loved making my own door in x-com games
  5. i need a bio-mass sample and cant find any i guess bio mass the the wierd looking stuff around alien bases ?
  6. if you use one of the cheat codes you can see what you squad can see, which looks like 360 degree vision using LOS
  7. No doubt there will be more games with UFO's in them .. loved all of the x-com , TFTD , appocalypse - dont forget x-com interceptor they attempt for have x-com in space UFO aftermath might not fit story wise to the games above but is still a great game none the less , with racist squaddies , not surprise they keep shouting die ya ... and i got him ... since they almost killed everyone .. those pesky aliens
  8. I am sure my config.cfg was there from install click here to try my config.cfg with the line added Put it in the root install directory with the UFO.exe and Launcher.exe UPDATED CODES canparalyse - removes all paralysing effects on squad cancontrol - removes all mind control effects on squad flare - puts flare or light source around squad members ( need to check ) scenemode - cycles textures etc can get wireframe and no textures
  9. i loved in x-com games having about 3 squads of 8 out, oh well this aint one of the old x-com games and earth is 99% destroyed or something with a hand full of survivors so you dont have the man power or the money since there is none to have many squads.. nice and simple
  10. i see it as since the camera is orbital almost in aftermath it would be hard to keep the buildings in a sensible point of view ( altar mention the lack of floors ) the other x-com games , had a isometric view that can be seen from 4 angles so building are easier to draw in them. I dont mind not going into buildings just want to turn them in to rubble with a big heavy gun
  11. OriginalWar is nice but i found it got a bit hard towards the end , where u choose which way you want to go. Those who have played it will know what i mean , and then u have in about 2 missions before the final battle. I though altar was a familar name, now i know where
  12. x-com: apocalypse as it was called in the UK was nice except i missed the whole earth world UFO: aftermath , reminds me so much of the first UFO: enemy unknown as it was called in the UK its nice having the earth back and spining it it around. I have not gotten far in the game but we can do underwater missions in Aftermath ? Also having more than 1 squad would be nice Can we get a batch of items made ie 10 energy cells or 10 imporoved armor
  13. nice 1 , i though there might be some world map codes too didnt find them , thx for that
  14. My saves have not been deleted there are still there under the correct profile on my hard drive just change profiles in the game to play your previous saves , so you can have 1 profile for each dificulty and for each starting location USA , europe and Asia
  15. The config.cfg file where you add the following line is in the same folder where my UFO.xex and Launcher.exe are the root install. It was there before i patched... Version of UFO is United Kingdom enter KEY "cheats" BOOL TRUE in the file config.cfg so it looks like mine below or something similar It should work does for me My Config.cfg file: ( the formatting of the indented KEY lines must be kept. cant indent in the post) #!TXT#CFG_FILE# STRUCT "root" KEY "systeminfo" BOOL TRUE KEY "nosound" BOOL FALSE KEY "stencil" BOOL TRUE KEY "use_safe_refresh" BOOL FALSE KEY "force_texs_mutable" BOOL FALSE KEY "video_mode" INT 88 KEY "va_main_buff_size" INT 0 KEY "force_old_va_mode" BOOL FALSE KEY "fragm_progs" BOOL TRUE KEY "vert_progs" BOOL TRUE KEY "colors32b" BOOL FALSE KEY "eax" BOOL FALSE KEY "soundVolume" FLOAT 1 KEY "speechVolume" FLOAT 1 KEY "musicVolume" FLOAT 0.6 KEY "cheats" BOOL TRUE - < added this line> END_OF_STRUCT "root"
