Gimli
Clancy: The X-Com Story is a new mod for Half-Life 2 taking place in the X-COM universe. It is currently under development and the team is looking for help. Clancy: The X-Com Story is a singleplayer mod for Half-Life 2 that is currently under development. It is an original story set in the X-Com universe that will be available for free download once it is completed. The game will follow the story of Clancy, a police officer who later becomes an X-Com soldier. Clancy is not a remake of X-Com, nor an attempt to emulate the gameplay, but rather, a new story set in the X-Com universe. It is a first-person shooter that will focus on story and setting. Level design has begun, as well as weapon design and programming. While most of the design is based on the X-Com setting, we are developing some unique ideas to add additional depth to the game. There are screenshots in the media section as well as a teaser trailer.
flark
Sounds good. I like the way they did the video cutting into the original game following the interceptor.
Pete
This actually sounds like it could be pretty damn good judging from the idea behind it. Certainly a very unique direction to go in. I shall keep an eye on this one
Dumb_Commander
Same here, though I wonder how will the aliens and the ships look in 3D.
JellyfishGreen
They'd better change the name or risk conflict with a pack of lawyers defending a family of FPS's named after a certain Tom Clancy.
