I'm planning on changing to Windows7 soon, question is whether or not I should finally get a 64bit edition. My concern is that I'm completely clueless as to the negative effects it could have AFAIK

I am just a tad ticked off. That page asks what edition of Windows you're running, happily reveals all the download links once you tell it "Home Premium" (over half a gig worth of data I might add), t

This shit is getting out of control.

If you haven't read it already, see what Microsoft is doing now.

This is a MUST read.

Here's a link to get rid of this, until Microsoft finds a way to get around this.

So unless you upgrade to windows 10 by July it'll cost you $119.00 USD MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price).

Microsoft isn't giving away Windows 10 for free. I'd like to know how they plan on getting that money back. Built in advertising? A subscription plan? Microsoft is a business and the first rule of Business Class 101 is to make money. There's also a huge class action lawsuit against Microsoft for forcing Windows 7/8 users to "upgrade". So you think Microsoft is just giving away a $119.00 software for free, no strings attached? Gimme a break.

I've moved most of the PC's in my house to 10, peaceful so far. In fact the only one I haven't done is my recording PC because I hear it doesn't play nice with The Sims 2. I know how much of a Sims fan NoX is wink.png

For purposes of experimentation only, I installed Windows 10 on one of my older PC's that had Win 7 on it.

Oh and I found this program that blocks a whole bunch of crap Microsoft tries to get from you.

Just click here It's a free program, so no worries about pirating. Unzip it into a folder as the program will extract several files.
