How to tell you've been gaming too much

Featured Replies

I was passing by the cinema the other today when I saw a poster for a movie called Disturbia.

Here's what it looked like:

My first thought was "oh god, not another crap movie based on a game!?"

Hum ... maybe I should spend less time playing games!?

Anyone else who keeps having these odd associations?

Uh... What?

Is there a problem with the second picture or am I missing the key to the joke? (The second picture is just "Mobygames. The definitive source for PC games" in black text on a white background.)

Reminds me of the time not too long after I got my first computer. At school I realised that I'd made a mistake while writing something on paper. My hands reached to press the keys necessary to undo the action. I stared at the mistake for a while feeling very puzzled until I realised what I was trying to do.

Actually playing Rally games on my PC saved me a car once (no joking): It was winter, snow everywhere and i drove slowly and carefully into a tight curve. Suddenly my car's rear slipped away. And without thinking i made a great slide, gave full speed and avoided the guardrail! All thanks to my "rally education" on the Playstation 1.

Long live Colin McRae Rally for the PS1 !

Punch-line:

"Colin Mcrae, saves your life on the road"

I've also done the "where's my ctrl-z" bummer just like NKF. I sort of froze for a minute wondering what the hell I was doing trying to reach my not existing keyboard.

Back in elementary school, I was a huge Ultima nut.

More than once, I tried to "click and drag" things across my desk. Often taking a moment to wonder what the hell was wrong.

Luckily, I'm not quite as obsessed with games anymore. >_<

If you "understand" what is "funny" in this pic, you must have played games, let's say, from 80-90's. So, maybe too long and much(?).

Sorry, but I just have to re-post it from NMA, those guys clothes... damn!

To me it's one of the funniest game related pics what I have seen in years. :D

"Coming 2004 - maximum requirements" :D

Good stuff! Thanks for the link btw, but now I have to watch them all... :)

That picture doesn't come from an E-mail, it comes from the "Peasant's Quest" video game trailer. Found here: https://www.homestarrunner.com/pqtrailer.html

I will school all of you on Homestarrunner. I didn't sign up here as "Strong Bob" for nothing. XD

"What did I say!?"

"Make good graphics."

"What did I tell you to do!?"

"To make good graphics."

"Good graphics! I come to work and I have to look at this mess!"

"I can make good graphics..."

"And you better make good graphics. I'm supposed to release a video computer game on TV without this graphic!"

"What?"

"You heard me!"

Ahh... I was still in High School when that one came out.
