I've tried all the different refresh rates my monitor supports and my video drivers are the most current. Is there something I'm missing? Slaughter Posted November 2, 2005 Report Share Posted November 2, 2005 Hmm, in the configuration tool, you can use the option "Use old VA mode" or something. Try that, and see if it helps. But it really sounds like a refresh rate problem. Are you sure it saved your chosen option when you chose refresh rate? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Weregoat Posted November 2, 2005 Author Report Share Posted November 2, 2005 As far as I can tell the configuration setup for aftermath is saving my refresh rate. Ive tried all the refresh setting my monitor supports from 60 to 85 with the same luck. My video card is a geforce 5700LE with the most current omega drivers from driver heaven. Oh and tried the VA mode thing in the cofiguration menu, no joy EDIT: exact video driver is Nvidia Omega Drivers 1.6693 (Forceware 66.93) EDITII: oddly the game seems to function normally on missions and the geoscape ( minor flicker) but in the R&D menu and other like it I still get the black bars rolling through the screen.
