For whatever reason, the "Mark All Posts As Read" on the front page isn't doing its job. I click on it, and nothing changes. I still have "un-read" icons next to the various forums.

Hmm... Most odd. I would suggest deleting your cookies, shutting down your browser and maybe even your internet connection, re-logging in and seeing if that helps.

 

Usually it's just some combination of cookie madness and browser session silliness that does this.

 

Also, what internet browser are you using?

Try hitting Ctrl + F5. That forces a total page reload, as opposed to just hitting F5, which isn't quite as complete.

I get this bug randomly as well. Didn't happen before, started a day or two ago. I use Firefox 1.0.1 (maybe it is a problem with the "new" version of Firefox, as I didn't have it before...).

The time you will definitely notice it is if you brwse the forums on one machine, then log onto anther machine at school/uni/work or whatever as the cookies and/or sessions cant keep track of your whereabouts and the database can't hold details of every post you've ever read either

 

That basically confuses the system.

I'm using IE 6 on only one machine.

It did it to me the other day, but it was due to having hibernated my machine rather than switching it off on that occasion. I'd left a browser window open at hibernation and it wouldn't mark cookies as read when I woke up my PC.
