I`am getting a new computer and would like some input and or suggestions as to what kind of graphics card to get. ATI or Nvidia ? I enjoy Silent Storm type games.

I am a big fan of NVidia cards, not just because of their name, but the drivers seem to be more consitently stable, and the lower priced cards are excellent value, wheras lower priced ATi cards don't perform so well.

 

At the top end they are sooo close in performance it doesn't really matter which.

I have the ATI Radeon 9800 PRO 128MB and I think it performs very well, but like Biggles said when you get to the top they all perform very well.

I just bought a xtasy radeon 9100 128mb and it works fine also

Well I thought I would let you all know, I have a Radeon 9200 128mb card, but my old GeForce 2mx 32mb runs S2 better. Now I have no idea why, and I know sod all about GFXcards

I just got a new pc and i bought an Ati Radeon 9800 XT 256 mb i can run everything in very high but it runs better in 1152x864 then in 1024x768 strange if u ask me :?
