apathy Posted January 26, 2004 Report Share Posted January 26, 2004 I'm becoming desperate with a problem i've encontered while trying to install UFO AfterMath... i performe the complete instalation of the game and when i try to load the configuration application it throws the following error: Application crashed: acess violation reading from adress 0x00000000! SymInit search path: c:\Program Files\Cenega\UFO Aftermath SymGetSymFromAddr: 487, addr:0x00402e6c SymGetSymFromAddr: 126, addr:0x003c9740 SymGetSymFromAddr: 487, addr:0x004238e0 StackWalk:6 I've attempted to install the game in several folder, lower screen resolution and even install DirectX versions (i've DirectX 9.0b im my pc), but it always throws the same error... my pc is a : P4 2.6 Ghz Geforce 2 Mx 32Mb 512Mb Ram and win xp pro... Hmm...did you try installing it onto another drive (such as a secondary hard drive?) That helps with me, sometimes. Or perhaps your CD is corrupted.
