Seven Nights in Hong Kong

Number of missions is almost reduced to final push, but there are still some NPCs that have more to share.

There is one last mission before the hunt for the Plastic-Faced man. And that is helping Gaichu kill his ex Red Samurai unit. The ambush will take place at Tolo Harbour Industrial Complex. Gaichu already informs that security will be tight here but there are too few in numbers to have any significance.

 

 

As Gaichu said, the entrance had some protection but it was like Pros fighting rookies. Once inside it was another battle with the security. Same as the entry guards, they didn't give much fight. Apart form killing Gaichu's old unit, we are also here to steal a drone. We found a scientist that our Fixer contact him. It looks like he is one of the main researchers for the Renraku and he wants to vanish.

 

Now it's time to set a trap.

 

 

Once the Red Samurai squad arrived it was time to kill everyone of them, and strangely I expected something more. The fight didn't last long, and after it, Gaichu and Ishida had last confrontation.

One last episode dedicated to NPCs. Everything is settled now.

So this is it, the straight line up to the finish. No more side mission, no more NPCs slowing us down. It's time Joey and team go capture Plastic-Faced man. Before he goes directly to him, there is one persone Joey must visit. Plastic-Faced man has a very important device installed in his head. It will erase his memory when things won't look good for him. This "friend" Joey will visit will have a counter device that should remedy the problem.

 

 

Looks like Emilie is sort of hard pressed, but Joey knows how to get around that.

 

 

Now that's done it's time to go for the prime target. Kindly Change made a contact with information broker named Xiaozhi. He is located in Shek Kip Mei in abandoned market. Also while visiting the not so abandoned market, Joey finds a familiar face (well familiar to you not Joey).

 

 

Anyway back to the mission. Joey has reached the broker, but as usual you can't find a decent person in such places. His speech also was sounding trouble from miles away. Time to give him a lesson he will take to the grave - literally.

 

 

Once that's done, now Joey can capture the Plastic-Faced man. Of course he was guarded by the Knight-Errant and Corporate Bodyguards so another fight was ahead. After a long battle Plastic-Faced man is in custody.

 

 

Before the interrogation could begin Is0bel came with bad news. Hearing that out captive tried to be a tough guy. Fortunately some finger braking loosen his tongue. And strangely so he was very very cooperative. He told/showed everything he knew about Project Prosperity, he also confirmed that Edward Tsang / Raymond Black are alive. It looks like he needs some saving.

 

 

After that, our friend's memory is gone. Now comes the dilemma part. He was so nice with helping that it would be a shame to kill him. On the other hand Joey promised Kindly Cheng to waste the SoB. And Joey keeps his promises.

Things are getting more unsettling in Heoi. People are mass fleeing from the Walled City. Before Joey will go rescue Raymond, first he needs to talk with Kindly Cheng to give a sitrep on the Plastic-Faced man interrogation.

 

 

 

Now with everything settled, Joey forms a team to go to the Prosperity Tower. The main goal is to find Raymond in mysterious Lab Twelve. First they need to find on what floor this lab is, then they'll need to hack into security matrixes to get the codes to enter there.

They start with the basement. In there a enforcer ask for clearance to be here. With the "fake" security passes Joey manages to "charm" his way in. To continue with the guise, Joey goes and finds the maintenance manager where she directs him to the locker to change some cloths and look like a professional corporation maintenance employee. With the change of appearance she begun to give some orders. Small tasks not worthy mentioning. However doing a job, Joey found a urgent request. The manager didn't like it. This probably was the way to get access to the security room without fighting, but the objective said repair the turbine so I don't know.

 

 

 

Anyway it looks like the manager won't be needing us anymore and there is nothing more to be done on this floor to get the access. So for now Joey switches floors. On another floor there is a person waiting for Joey.

 

 

Looks like somebody also doesn't like Josephine.

 

 

It's time for Is0bel to do her Job. Apart from doing the job for the VP Is0bel found some information Kindly Cheng was looking for.

When we last left of, the team was trying to rescue Raymond from the evil clutches of his mother. On the same floor we last left of, there was a very nervous employee. It look like the inside corpo war got to her and her department pretty bad. So bad that she would do anything to turn the tides. Fortunately for Joey she has a key to security station on this floor. This might be advantageous.

 

 

Because Joey is dressed as a maintance guy, he quickly convinced the sales department to leave the room.

 

 

With that done we have access to the security station. Of course the security also had to be swayed.

 

 

That's floor done, time for the next one. This is a research floor, there Joey found a very friendly researcher, with some good wording he sort of "befriended" him. The scientists could talk you to death and more but after that he gave access to a special room.

 

 

 

This floor also contained a very special monster, one that could be set free on this floor only though that special room Joey has now access to. This could be the easy way to kill the security, but there was this terminal with unfriendly researcher woman, that peeked my interest.

 

 

Although I thought that the monster will kill the hag, but as long as she is out of the room, that's also fine. Accessing the terminal we've received some passwords for later stage of the mission.

 

 

Unfortunately team is now out of options and will have to kill the security fast. Because once violence start they will have few seconds to suppress the alarm for higher level security.

When we last left of, Joey and the team need the last access to the Security Matrix. They were now preparing to take the secruity station in the maintenance area. Once all the security nodes where hacked it was time to get to the Lab Twelve. On the Lab Twelve floor there was another group of guards to dispatch. Once inside the lab, the team saw Raymond.

 

 

Unfortunately the place has been alerted.

 

 

Rescuing Raymond won't be easy, however there is slim hope.

 

 

Is0bel will have to do "live surgery" inside Matrix while the rest will have to defend the place. In the Matrix first Is0bel had to collect 4 memory engrams to reconstruct Raymonds memory. Then she would need to insert them in correct order. The problem is you had to pay attention reading the engrams otherwise you might be stuck solving the puzzle (or maybe just insert them sorting by age?)

 

 

Once the guards were dead it was time to move out Raymond from this cursed place. However the elevator was guarded by the final guards. But this ones weren't so eager to die.

 

 

During the travel back to Heoi, Raymond (or Edward) told everything there was to tell about Project Prosperity.

It's time for the final push. Return back to the walled city and stop the machine Edward Tsang made a long time ago.

 

 

In this mission all cards are played, but Duncan says it's best to split the forces.

 

 

Of course the place is a hell now, and it looks like some of the denizens became influenced.

 

 

Moving further ahead, there is another obstacle. Namely Tsang's commandos. Past the commandos, Raymond calls in for sitrep.

 

 

Deeper inside they find another commandos. Those were threatening civilians living here.

 

 

And in another room almost similar situation.

As we left of, Joey and team were "assaulting" Walled City, to help Raymond / Edward fix the problem he has created long time ago. The last obstacle he had to deal with is a blockade, and a civilians being threatened by the Tsang commandos. Also the further they move inside the city, the more prominent is the presence of the unknown entity.

 

 

Finally after some long battles, Joey managed to reach the center of the city.

This is it. Joey and team are right next where the Fortune Engine is located.

 

 

But suddenly....

 

 

The Yama King. The final baddie, the culprit of everything bad. He is the final obstacle to reach the Fortune Engine. The fight with Yama King has three parts. The first part here, he blocks the doorway and is currently immortal. There are few Snuff Flames spawned in the area, and must be deactivated[ before inflicting damage on the Yama King.

 

 

Once the Sunff Flames were taken care of, this apparition of Yama King wasn't hard to vanquish. The door is now open, but the Yama King has laid a trap. It transported Joey and team to it's domain. This part is easier then the last. You just shoot him until it dies.

 

 

After she was beaten second time, now she still taunts Joey, but the rest of the group has now arrived.

 

 

And of course she wants to bargain. Joey of course did not accept it and had counter proposal. It didn't work of course. I truly don't know if you could manage it. If you watched carefully the parts with NPC chatters. Joey learned a story that a young boy managed to trick a Yama King. I don't know if I was missing something more though. Now it's time for the third fight. Even easier because you have all the party members.

 

 

With very quick end, the Yama King is gone for now. Now Edward could finish what he came here to do. Unfortunately destroying the machine is out of the option according to Raymond. He finds only option to sacrifice himself. And there is no stopping of him.

 

 

When this is done, Joey and team return to Heoi, only to be found crawling with police and reporters.

 

 

But before we finish this. Kindly Cheng wants a debrief.

Before heading to Kindly Cheng, Joey watches the news. Of course Mrs. Tsang doesn't worry about the situation.

 

 

Now back to Kindly Cheng.

 

 

She wasn't pleased with the deaths of the men she has sent, but what can you do. They've died in a good cause right? But that wasn't her only concern. Of course she wasn't much shocked hearing about Yama King.

 

 

But during the conversation, Mr. Bao came with good news. Good enough to make Cheng slightly happy.

 

 

All in all it went pretty well for her.

 

 

After the meeting with Kindly Cheng, it was time for Joey to meet with the team.

 

 

And now Joey can have a good night sleep without and weird dreams.

 

 

 

That concludes this story, but this is not the end. We will meet Joey again, when the mini-campaign will be released.
