October 22, 201411 yr About a year ago, myself and another employee were driving back to work when I noticed the Google Street View Car. Clicky. I wasn't driving, just the passenger (can't really make me out either), but yeah, I'm there. Sorry I didn't post this earlier, but it took Google a year to put up the new images. So how about you folks? Anybody else on Google? - Zombie
October 23, 201411 yr So much for your claim to fame. :: Well, one thing they shall never capture is our souls!
November 27, 20187 yr Author Nope, I'm not back on Google Street View, just something interesting. Was driving to work today and watched the odometer of my vehicle hit a new milestone - 150,000 miles (241,402 km). I purchased my vehicle in late August 2012 with 125,000 miles (201,168 km) on it so it was already heavily used, but I don't drive long distances. I'm averaging about 4200 miles (6760 km) per year which is hardly anything when compared to how much other people drive. - Zombie

December 5, 20187 yr If it counts in miles, shouldn't it be called odoimperial ?HE HE HE, good point!
May 30, 20224 yr Author I keep forgetting to mention this, but back in early July 2019 I was delivering in the afternoon (I believe it was a Friday) and saw the google street view car about a block away. I honestly didn't think it caught me and when I checked google I didn't see the van. However, when I was looking at google street view yesterday I found out I'm there clicky. I'm in the chevy astro van making a right hand turn out of a parking lot. Like I said, I didn't think google street view caught me and was a little depressed about that. Anyhow, later that day I was heading home and a couple blocks from work I had a run in with the google street view car again! I didn't think they worked that late so I was surprised to see it still out and about. Clicky. Both cases you can't actually see me, but hey, I'm there and twice in one day. - Zombie
May 30, 20224 yr As claims to fame go, Zombie, that's one not many are going to dispute. In any case, this goes to show you should never question the all-seeing eye of Mord... er... Google.
December 23, 20241 yr Author Well, the google street view vehicle came through town this year again. I was at work and it actually caught me in the process of painting the left side of the big garage on the alley (more specifically, scraping loose paint). Never saw it but it was funny nonetheless. - Zombie
December 23, 20241 yr Those vehicles of theirs sure have good lenses, Zombie. And here it almost looks like they got someone in the frame trying to burgle the place all nice and casual, going up a ladder in broad daylight.
December 23, 20241 yr Author Hehe, well, I wouldn't be confused with a burglar as I had the back garage door open and my tool bucket on the ground anyway. No need for a ladder to get in with that easy access. - Zombie
January 19, 20251 yr Author Edit: I just found another pic that shows me a little bit better. Don't think it was on Google Maps until very recently as I've been checking back every so often. - Zombie
January 20, 20251 yr Right about now it kind of makes you miss the sort of weather you were enjoying then, doesn't it? Hot day, staying in the shade, maybe drinking something other than lemonade. Oh, wait, never on business hours! You can always count on Google to keep you honest.
