The core game is nonetheless reportedly progressing quite nicely as can be seen in the new video, which shows combat, tactics, and character evolution. This is what's currently being employed in Factions but the very same mechanics that will be featured in The Banner Saga.

Factions is launching imminently, so imminently that it’s already available to those who backed the rather successful Kickstarter as well as handsome bearded men who do words real good. I’ve beaten some poor sods up recently, but I’ve also seen my tough Viking warriors run through with swords and squashed to mush in turn. It’s a tough world. I’ve shoved my opinions in a furnace, slapped them on an anvil and hammered the ever living shit out of them so that now I can present you with my finely tempered thoughts on what I’ve played so far.
