  1. Have you ever had to save a game because you knew something difficult was coming up? I think we all have. I can't begin to tell you how many times I regretted NOT saving right before a boss battle or difficult battle. Usually this has happened when playing X-COM and Jagged Alliance 2, and Fallout 2, Advanced Wars, etc. (Where you can basically save at ANY time) but you get so caught up in the moment and/or storyline you completely forget. So if you'll join with me in this discussion, can YOU name any games you'd wish you HAD saved before you continued? Mine are Jagged Alliance 2 and Commandos. -NoX
  2. This Game is In Beta Stage....Graphically, it looks circa 2004-2006....Just Say'n.
  3. At least they stuck with TB, this looks like a game I can get behind.
  4. Terror From The Deep. I played the Demo before I knew anything about X-COM.
  5. Perhaps I wasn't clear on my initial statement (I was actually quite drunk when I typed it). What I meant to say was, we have these classic TB games like; X-COM, Jagged Alliance, Homm, Fallout, MOOetc ( I know there's tons more) that are being remade in this "game generation" who have recently and in the past omitted or changed features of these classics that were fine to begin with! I'm looking at YOU MOO 3. I'm aware there are decent games out there that are TB; Indie and mainstream, I'll be sure to read gamespot's review of this game. I'm just hoping these recent remakes don't mar the TB genre to the extent of it becoming extinct. -NoX
  6. Jagged Alliance: Back in Action has proved...proved what? A German company can gain the rights of this stellar game (past tense) and butcher it beyond recognition? Fail. HoMM6 "Black Hole Entertainment is a Budapest-based video game developer, founded in 2001 by seven young game enthusiasts." HA. Fail. X-COM, the last chance at TB to prove to me this genre has life, it it fails..where does the fall blame?
  7. Thanks m8s! I knew I had seen it before, shame they didn't include the sharkman into the game, that would of been badass! <--Check the avatar
  8. Awhile back there was a X-COM fansite called X-Command, I'm sure some of you old tymers remember it. The site is now closed. Anyway, I remembered there was a section dedicated to Deleted material from X-Com Games, (or something to that extent) I recall seeing a backdrop image of an alien that resembled a Shark or Sharkman but was removed by Mythos. Does anyone happen to have that image or know of where I might be able to locate it? Gimme some feed back mates! Cheers.
  9. I agree with Fire Warrior on several key points, namelythe excessive replies (btw, is it just me or does Lynx sound nothing like theLynx in JA2?) and that delayed order response. Keep in the mind that this gamehas just about two weeks to be shipped worldwide, ergo anything that will (andshould) be fixed will be done so via patches. I just hope this doesn't turn outto be a Heroes of Might & Magic 6 disaster. If anyone one out there had that game from the day it was released up untill now you'll know exactly what I mean, here's hoping for the best.
  10. I think they should of used a Silent Storm/C&C3/HOMM5/COH/ etc view. The fact that they didn't use the most of the mouse is an issue for me. Left click and twirl....and the mini map is crap. BTW great screen shots silencer!
  11. Hi, first time poster, long time reader. I just downloaded the JA BIA demo via Thorondor's Gamer's Hell link and wanted to know everyone's thoughts on it. If this in the wrong section, moderators and staff I apologize in advance.
