Hi all, I've looked everywhere on the net on how to extract the .cat sounds files and couldn't find any complete information although the ufopaedia helped with the .raw file specifications. I was afraid I would have to dig in UFO2000 code to see how they did it. Here's how I did it(using X-Com TFTD Collector's Edition): (Using Sony Soundforge 9) 1. Go to %X-COM FOLDER%\SOUND 2. Rename SAMPLES.cat to SAMPLES.raw 3. Open with soundforge and it will ask the specifications of the sound file. 4. For this version, use: - 11,025hz - 8bit, PCM - Format: signed - Mono - leave headers and trailers in default: 0 5. Play, enjoy and save as the format that suits you. =) In case, you are not feeling that adventurous, I will be uploading the sound format in mp3 to my Skydrive: http://cid-519432d5073a1e0a.skydrive.live.com/home.aspx Also, the music is in midi in the Collector's Edition and you can also get them at mirsoft.info.
