Well.... since I am the one seeing this, I got the game patched up to 1.3 before I even started playing it I have only seen it once with RB6.3 have the game modded to RB6.4 now and so far no trouble something to look at, maybe the blood mod I kind of think from what I have seen in the last mission that crashed, was I got jumped by 7-8 Car Crabs and I had blood all over the place other then that, the only mission I had trouble with was the moon mission after entering the base HARD_Sarge

Hi Strahd well no luck so far, went back in to that save and I can find a open door icon on either side of the small doors, it does not open anything lets see, to start with there were two small open doorways when I first went into the area, after the battle, if I place the mouse at the base of those two doorways, I get the open icon, but click on it and get, no way to get there message HARD_Sarge

Hi Kret well, starting to get it again is anybody else getting this or is it just me ? wondering if it is the blood mod, last mission had like 7 car crabs and they were spreying blood all over the place, then when I went to save to got to the next level, I got the out of disk space error (well to the good, had to back up a save that was a few days before the one I was on, and got a new trooper, who is not too shabby for a change) anybody getting any errors when the install the new plug ins ?, maybe I got a bad plug inner or should I do a complete reinstall HARD_Sarge
  5. Hmmm this sounds like what was going on with the auto cannon, it fires big bursts but don't do the damage you would expect ??? (I thought maybe I was just missing alot ) HARD_Sarge
  6. that also kind of looks like what I been seeing with the shotguns (I didn't run any tests, just stop using burst mode) but when I get home from work in the morning will double check, to see if the numbers match, or it is just how it feels HARD_Sarge
  7. guess I still need more hints went left and north and can't find any way out of the rooms up there (no path way is there if there is a secret door ?) I also went south and blew up all the cute little spiders, that didn't help either ???????? HARD_Sarge

  9. move the mouse towards the door, it will turn into two arrows, when it turns into two arrows, then right click (kind of got to be towards the bottom of the door for the curser to change) be ready, you never know what is going to be on the other side of the door HARD_Sarge

I ended up adding some stuff with the Alpine, but still get some errors so had to drop them out (spitter, popper, secloud( LOL) extended mags) but I did get 2 Cyborgs, and now got some MC's so I should be sort of on the right track oh well, some is better then none LOL I got a heroic lancher type dude, who is totally poor at every thing else, so I kept him, then went to send him on a mission, and don't have any launcher type weapons yet ! really starting to like the shutguns, got a mad man, with Excel speed, who likes to charge the Aliens (of course, it would work out better if he could wait on them, but most times he in the wrong place at the wrong time) HARD_Sarge
  11. Hi Guys I restarted two games, one went into Mar the other closing in on the end of Jan, when should I start seeing some of the changes that went into 6.3 ? (I maybe I did it wrong on the first restart, so deleted the 6.2 VFS moved in the 6.3 and then started a new game) havn't seen any of the Xcom bad guys or any of the new crew or weapons (thought the MC would come early ?) the Cyborg does have red eyes, so it should be the right mod ? BOY, I have been getting some bad troops, last one I got had 4 Awfuls (told him not to let the door hit him in the behind on the way out) one of the keepers was a awful/awful/poor/ave/Heroic/excel (LOL she can't shoot a rifle or a Hand gun, can't throw, can't run, can't train, but boy can she complain HARD_Sarge
  12. my moon mission, I had 28 Aliens inside and out, but never got to the back room ? so don't know how many more were in there I was hurting big time for ammo, but had good number of Grenages, heavy weapon ammo and a full PSI projecter (was saving them for the end battle) HARD_Sarge

Kewl, sounds good it is your armor, but I just think there should be some chance of a little healing, well if anything, maybe make the healing -75 and the PSI 95 and stun 85, trade a little healing chance for a chance of more damage/take over (maybe a poll to see if anyone else agrees, I don't want to have to play by somebody else style of play and don't want to "force" any one to play by my style of play) HARD_Sarge

Well, the first game I got to work, I had the mods from Alpine and think they were 5.6, and some them didn't work (5.6 module didn't work) so I got Aliens fireing 3 rockets for every shot my man takes yes, I understand the idea of balanced, but one hassle is I am still some what new to the game and still need to try out each weapon to see what it can do (didn't like the Plamsa Shotguns at all, the plamsa laucher is nice) got the A2gun, will have to look it over again (range kind of short isn't it ?, for someone who doesn't really move much, went with longer range) (lol had a base under attack, and the lay out had a long pathway on either side of the enty point,was able to get a double MG on one side and a Gatling gun on the other, bout about 25 hexes away from where the bad guys came out, talk about a slaughter) well for the 79, was thinking more of a weak, toxin shell, say kill (depending on damage) what is in the hex, damage to next hexes, while the grenage has a nice area attack the game I got set up with the new Mod, I have not gotten a Muton yet again for the Armor, you want to make a trade off, set the heal to -75 or -80, then the player has to make a choice, do they carry more MEDKITS, to heal the trooper if he gets hurt or does he save them for some one else I mean for most missions I don't bring any, later on, with my 2 heavies, I got them each with 2 MEDKITS, if they get knocked out, some one can pick them up off the ground to use them the NANOTECH, if most of your troops are going to be in Berkzer Armor, no need for it (neat idea, and like most SiFi, Armor could have the NANOTECH built in) but in the long run, you make the mods, I just asking what I like or think, I have enjoyed what you guys have done already and look forward to playing the next one HARD_Sarge

Hmmm well was just asking if we could get some toxin shells ? wasn't saying who made them or not the part about the Cocktail, was that we don't get to make the best close in weapon, if we find some, great, if not, oh well (just an IE that in RL they not that HARD to make, compared to some of the stuff we are getting) just saying if a bunch of troopers tossed a toxin Grenage and seen it drop a few bad guys, you can bet they would be running to the CO saying, well hey, can't we think of a way so we could shoot some of them (or spray ?, Toxin flamethrower, with out the flame ?) I don't know, I must of got a bad batch of Armor, my guys are dropping left and right in it (of course not as fast as the poor guys in alien armor) why i want some healing HARD_Sarge

Hi Kret well yes, I would say 10 M is a large save file, but also, the only ones I was seeing that large were the ones for the last mission, most of the other ones were 800 to 4000 in size, it wasn't till the last mission that they jumped to 9-10 before I went to the Moon, save was 1.8, finished the outside of the base, was 2.7, killed around 15 Aliens and saved to take kid to school I was at 10.5 so yes, I can see that a 10 save file is big, but it is not like that in the other missions which I also don't think there are 18 Aliens in the other missions before counting the spiders and queen hopefully they can do something about it, takeing over the world takes too long at 46 bases, and got most of the mass under control kind of likeing the Heavy weapons Kewl HARD_Sarge

Roger doger sooooo, looks looks like the mod's may be helping to expand the save file (which last mission is large to start with) but removing some of the mods will/can break the save ehhh, anyway to mod the VFS hmmmm maybe the game/windows was unstable, I got a crash later on when I went back to a old save and started a base mission, went to save just before I hit next and got the same type of error, but think that could be windows, never got this before the moon mission thanks for looking into it HARD_Sarge

OH well I know we past RB-6 already, but kind of looked like the place to add in a wish how about toxin shells for the M79 or other type of launcher weapons ? if we can make our own weapons how about our own Grenages ? (I mean one of the simple ones is the bottle full of gas and a rag) still need some kind of healing with the Bezeker armor funny how the game scale seems so wrong, we can put up 12 advanced fighter jets to go after 1 UFO, but we can't send more then 7 troops, or give them decent weapons hmmm (not meant as a crack at you guys, your mods are great) HARD_Sarge

Okay thanks I took the first one, just to see what it was (saved before hand ) was trying the last option, but it gonna be HARD looks like I can't save the game any more looks like I need to be in the stat map to be able to save, or maybe right at the beginning of a mission makes me kind of worried as I Was loseing results early on, with crashes in the middle of loading the mission, so I like to save often but, will have to say, since that first day, I have not had any crashes, out side of this save crash, (maybe the dead bodies and blood all over are upping the size ????) thanks well I wanted to get going on the new mod, but kind of takes the trill away, if you don't think you will be able to end the game I think I had em wumpped too HARD_Sarge
  22. while reading though some posts, thought I seen something that you could win the game a few different ways so question is, can I win the game with out going to the Moon ? looks like until a patch to fix the narrow walkway is out, I can't finish my game as it stands now HARD_Sarge

Hi Kret killed the last Alien out side of the queen area last crash message was Assert Fatal UFO AM release 1.3 file C:\UFO_SFC\ASL\kvfs.cpp line 441"profile/3rd_try_Saves_name of save.vfs", disk full file size on last file attempt was 10756 Hmmm for what it is worth, it wrote the save file, but it didn't write the DESC file which is 1 kb ???? can't finish the mission any way, can't get on the ramp to the last area of the ship this is very disappointing strange how at times patches can be worse then what they fix oh well, I enjoyed it until I couldn't finish it HARD_Sarge will read the queen mission posts now, to see if may be there is a workaround (XCOM guided rockets would come in handy now_

Well so far so good this morning got 10 bad guys outside the base got 15 bad guys inside the base so far, but had to take the kid to school, so had to save it there (which that save is 10520, which is the largest I have seen that didn't crash, so I may not be able to do another save till the mission is over, bad part, got some nasty bad guys this time around and in large numbers at the same time, so tons of rockets, my two heavies were knocked out and brought back to 50% or so, the rest of the troops are hurting) is there a ammo bug ? no way my leader went though over 160 rounds of lazer ammo so far, he never fired on the outside and only in part of a few firefights, and most times he had 2 to 4 supporting troops fireing with him (that double cannon don't take many shots if it can see something) maybe interesting to get this battle to the end HARD_Sarge
  25. yea, I am having the same trouble too (I only went for the ships I had to, I let the other troops do all the ship battles, a shame, as they are fun) and to the looks of it, the final mission is not going to be completed (if I can read the map right, the 2 ways onto the ramp are narrow) but I havn't cleaned the rest of the ship out yet, so.... HARD_Sarge
