The patch has been promised to be be released by the end of november, let them take time with getting the patch right instead of ruching that like they did with the game.

I have 12 people in my team, All fully trained snipers, 2 Drones (1 Defender and 1 Scout) The Psionics are the best Snipers you can get with an accuracy addon and a true shot vambrace they always get 100%, add an accelerator to the mix and they cause 4000/5000+ damage direct to anyones head, takes them down instantly. Put them on snap shot and the accuracy falls to 98%, great tactic is level 3 snipers attacking the legs of aliens/wargots to knock them down then send in a drone with a grenade launcher to kill them all in one glorious hit. Always have a level 3 medic though, their reanimate ability is a life saver (literally) if something sneaks up and takes you by suprise!

Its ok, its sorted, I got home from work after spending all day reading up on the problem. All i did was delete the replicated localisation folders and replace them with the old one that was renamed (2) deleted the options text file and now the game starts and plays, although i'm still running up against them damn wargot bugs Grrrr...where's that patch!!

It appears I may have a problem with Starforce and UFO:AS, the game installed and played fine until last night when on a Wargot mission an ugly bug reared it's head and the game crashed, now I cannot even start the game! The game starts the Starforce check then the computer just stops completely and restarts itself without even shutting down. I've changed nothing with drivers or settings so why suddenly is the game not working. I uninstalled the game and removed the Starforce drivers, reinstalled the game and let the game reinstall the Starforce drivers. Rebooted then tried to play the game again, it now completes the Protection check then switches resolution and then I get UFO.exe has experienced a problem and needs to close do i want to send an error report. Any ideas, i've bought a game that did work, crashed and now doesnt work at all. This is ridiculous!!

Where does it mention about the patch moving from today to next week? I've had a look and the only mention is from a post dated the 4th November.

I've suddenly experienced a similar problem, the game first crashed when trying to finish a Wargot mission that i'd won, it crashed to desktop (UFO.exe has experienced a problem and needs to close) Once it had gone back to desktop i tried to play the game again, but it just restarted my computer (on the starforce protection check) without even shutting down, it's done that loads of times so i tried unistalling and reinstalling, now it goes past the Starforce protection screen - changes resolution then the dreaded error UFO.exe has experienced an error and needs to close. Now I can't play the game at all - even in safe mode, reinstalled all drivers for Graphics and sound card. No Luck!! whats going on!!
