I don't know how useful this is in actual gameplay, but I found the tactics excellent in the demo: have two soldiers as point scouts and one FAST cyborg with powerful close range weapon right behind. as the point men scot the enemy and capture his attention by shots from distance, have the cyborg RUN around and get close to the Reticulan. two snap shots and his dead. or even if up against rocket launcher or some other heavy weapon, have the runner run up to the enemy in the zig-zag line and pound him form two yards away.
  2. i think it's rather due to the fact that they lack inteligence to use door knobs.. so they just bash all of the doors open and leave them so
  3. be advised, i think ground elevation levels and relief make a significant difference in the game. if it truly were so, i am VERY pleased with the developers.
  4. it would be worthwile to watch and explore official UFO:AS forums for bug reports and patch announcments.. visit offical support forum known bugs so far bug work-arounds wishlist for the patch
  5. with things like this, you wish those bodies could be mutilated. that would make the physics engine worthwile. and all the kills more enjoyable

I am yet to purchase the game.. the suspense is killing me!! also, remember the lessons of modern warfare: precision surgical strikes against enemies' resources and guerilla warfare of small tactical units (terror operations). and above all, always remember the wisdom in the words of one of the greatest strategy minds ever: patience. prudence. persistence.
  7. i think this has already been documented as the physics engine bug/feature and is scheduled to be repaird with the first (not the last?) patch..
