No, no mods, but it was a VFS file which I thought might be where the multimedia (sounds/music/voices) etc. Ta for your help though mate!

Tried that earlier mate, but I'm new to all this vfs stuff. I haven't got the foggiest where to look.I also noticed a vfs file called multi something (can't remember cos I'm not on my AS PC at the moment). I thought it might be the games multimedia file (it was about 245Mb). Any ideas?

Hi guys, Is there any way I can extract the music (which I think is in ogg format) from the AS installation files so I can play them in winamp? Thanks for any help.

Been having some fun, exploring the various avenues which you can in the demo (research, manufacture stuff, base building a little), but I've found something which is quite fun, and challenging at the same time. Take Eric, give him the M4/XM8 with silencer, all the ammo for it, the Spas-15 + ammo, a medikit, and 2/3 knives. He is now your squad. Do the alien mission covertly, silently taking the greys down with the M4/XM8 or knives (lots of fun, 2 knife strokes and they go down), and see if you can do the mission. Alternatively, pull out the Spas if things get hot. Any of you guys doing similar things?

Nah, I haven't, busy with Uni work (3rd year physics, not fun), so getting a game which I'm going to spend lots of hours on early isn't a good thing

Hi guys, Basically, judging from the aftershock music I've heard, it sounds more like X-com than aftermath. I really liked the aftermath music. Is there anyway you can get the aftermath music into AS?

Correct me if I'm wrong (not at my PC with aftermath to check), but I thought you can't kneel in heavy armour, as heavy armour is needed for the collapsable rocket launcher. Am I doing something wrong? :/

Tried it. I even bought a 525W PSU. It just seems that nvidia dropped the ball on this one. Theres a high % of defective GPU's in the 6600 range. Check the link I posted above.

My advice to you would be to avoid the 6600 series of cards all together. I had one, I've just sent it back for a replacement due to crashing my system repeatedly. http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=1029 ^^ That thread is 54 pages long with people suffering the same set of problems with 6600GT cards, with no fix for them. I'd get an ATI card.
