  1. Thanks all. friend dumped windows98 for XP, got new drivers, and its all good now!
  2. friend of mine needs help. His system is freezing almost immediately (often when opening a door, changing view levels, switching poses) with occasional video corruption in the tutorial, system hard locks. can't even get through the first part of the tutorial. system is an athlon 1.7, nvidia chipset, GF3 video (the same card I ran the s2 demo just fine on) game will run in safe mode, but of course no sound.   3. Worry about him less than his grenade and shruiken-throwing buddies. Really, when I faced him he only took about 3 steps before getting his head removed. make sure you're at least level 5 or so before facing this one, or you won't have much of a chance. Those ninjas hide really well.

I can only see this being useful on capture missions on high difficulty (where you can shoot someone full of holes and they're not just 'unconscious') as a rifle, its super weak, I have only ONCE actually taken down someone with one in one shot, tranq-gun style. hat does it actually DO? cause AP- criticals or something? I haven't been able to figure it out.
  5. Too bad you lose familiarity when you so much as drop a weapon or put it in your backpack. my engie's got familiarity 4 with his G-41. hope I don't drop it!
