Hey Biggles, when S2 first came out, you posted translations to the menu screens? Are they still kickin round? I am totally lost on the video options, which I believe are the same in S3 as in S2. Knew I shouldn't o lent my S2 disk out, came pack missing important pieces, and with nifty geometric scratches upon the data side. If I hadn;t I could just look there. :evil:

hmmm weird thats not where i found them --SPOILER-- . . . . . . . . . . . . IF YOU ENTER THE SWITZERLAND MAP AND JUST SIT AND ROLL A SMOKE OR WHATEVER .It may take a couple of minutes but you seem to get only two random missions.One is the ufo [both axis and allies ] and the the other the swiss mansion i guess.If you are the allies you attack the mansion.If you are the axis you defend it which i found found to be much more fun .There is a lot of them and of course in both you get the sea devil [gun only once ] but unlimated ammo it seems . Oh yea the arrows are [ little joe ] arrows not john sorry and still no gun?????

semi spoiler . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . i have done a random mission twice now in north britain and have found a stash of strange arrows {arrows for little john}-or something to that effect but can not find the crossbow that or bow or whatever shoots anywhere ???? if anybody has a guess or know what i am on a boot please help very curious thanx

Well, having beat the game on AXIS now, I can say these guys are unique to northern Britain. I managed to charge the officer, and he hit me with something I only ever saw in one other place. You know that REALLY BIG knife the person you kill in the finale drops? The one you never get to use? Well, that officer was smacking me around with it!!!! Now I;m replaying an ALLIES - Hard, so once I get a little better, I;m headed back to N. Britain to see if i can;t pick it up.

AKA thanks for handing me my @$$ back. In random missions, if you find that everything is suddenly turn base, but there are no enemies visible, you may have just run into "Renegade Soldiers". I don;t see them in the unit list, but they're definately Elite. I wandered into the screen, a nice feild, with a road, and a deadwood fence. Sneaking around, in turn-based, thinking I have a bug or something, but then I spot a Brit, in a blue turban, standing nonchalantly in the middle of the road.......... next thing I know, grenades are turning my squad into a fine mist of blood and bone chips. 6 enemies, in total, slowly becoming visible when they attack. First they throw a grenade, then follow it up with Shurikens, and when you zoom in, yup they are dressed somewhat like ninjas. As far as I can tell, the "Renegade Soldiers" shadow my units, invisibly, and wait until you spot the officer, which instantly triggers the attack. Hope I run into these guys at a higher level. 1 turn = 3 deaths, 1 incapacitated, and 2 barely ticking mercs. Am I the only one lucky enough to find these guys?

@ Nixolus - I can imagine the pain. Heck even with English I know a few people who "well I'll just click this button, and see what happens" :evil: Are the mods case and name sensitive? Ex. Save Game would work, whereas Savegame wouldn't? I;m at work, and hoping to figure it out before I go home. Also waiting for my roommate to get up and turn on VPN so I can fiddle with it from here. edit********************************* K, so 1.full russian game 2. apply unnoficial patch - it's name is AI_HACK (lol) 3. reboot for copy protect update 4. put game.db & description.txt in mod folder - no sub folders!!! now a custom game appears, but only the one right in the mod folder, and when you choose it, you get english. if no description.txt, no mod to choose. This worked for me, when Biggles' way wouldn't. So try Biggles' steps first, and if they don't wanna co-operate, try the above.

Ok, so what if i did that and the mods still don;t show up? C:......modsSavegame. the game.db is there, I do notice that the example mod has more than just the game.db? Do i need to cut'n'paste some cyrillic text to get my mods to show up in the mod choice screem? Is there a russian language file for windows that might be a good idea to get? When I first installed, all button text was ?'s. Ok was ??, and Cancel was ??????. Did it do that for you as well?

what you have said to change russian to english does not seem to work the mods do not even show up at all what am i doing wrong??? please help must play this amazing game please help :?
