  1. keep looking in this board. there is one guy who has made a tree for tech and has a link for it but I forget his name and didn't keep the link.
  2. oh yeah, the only reason I won the game is because I went running all over the map ppicking up and using all the aliens weapons using them entirely. sh*t I almost though all my ammo and all the aliens ammo wasn't going to be enough. but I made it although losing my best 3 guys. my best guy had 150 or so missions to his name. finally all finished.
  3. playing on "hard" difficulty. For the Retrobution mission, I had *had* a team of 7 level 19-22 guys. 3 with microslug acelerators on snapshot so it does twice the damage. each snapshot did up to 1300 damage or so when done well I think. These guys had the bio armour and had 3 extra clips each to reload and a medikit also. 3 of the other guys were equiped with gatling guns and 2 extra ammo clips to reload each. they still had "very fast" speed because of their super heroic speed and capacity stats. They also had the enhanced heavy armour. 1 gatling gun shot from each of these guys was enough to kill a reticulan in 1 shot. which is probably 1400-1500 damage per shot. my last unit was a medic. this one only with sky armour but it doesnt matter because that unit never sees any action; it only heals. it had 6 medikits in the backpack and belt and also 2 warp medikits in hands. when I got to the retrobution map my guys ran around the map and killed all reticulans outside a room that was locked. it was nothing until then, they were only reticulans so I got rid of them in the first second I saw them. well, I cleared the map and after that I did what the mission asked to do, that is to blow up the pods. so I did. and wala the locked doors to the room were no longer locked. I knew there was going to be somehting very nasty in there!!! So, I put my guys in formation outside the corridor of the room. With my 3 gatling guys first and closer to the door. 3 microoslug accelerator guys behind them backing them up, and the one medic in the middleto heal both groups. man.. I got OWNED!. there is a big surpprise in there. everyone, don't go in there untill fully ready. all my guys ran out of ammo there as the enemy got closer. next thing I know my 3 gatling guys were dead for the first time. Rememeber.. reticulans are nothing compared to whats in there
  4. my best team are all level 20-22 3 have the bio armor and microslug accelerator gun, ammo X 2 and 2 medikits each. 3 have the enhanced heavy armor and gatling guns, and 2 ammo packs each apart from the ammo the gun already carries. 1 has 6 normal medikits and 2 warp medikits. I use the guys with a bio armor to run around inside alien ships, becase they have at least heroic speed, they surprice the aliens good and always get the first shot which X 3 = dead on the first shot. the 3 guys with gatling guns are especially used on the first level of the 2 alien ship missions. because at the begining one is sourrounded by aliens, I often see my 3 guys with gatling guns each shooting at a different reticulan each right in the beggining 2-3 seconds of the game. while my guys shoot, I have the medic healing them. inside the ship its a different story, the guys with gatling guns hardly move. They hide in one of the side rooms from the middle of the ship and stay defending the small corridors. while that is happening the 3 guys with microslug accelerators had already taken a defencive position to begin with by the gatling gun guys, but when the defensive is all in position, the 3 micro slug accelerator gun guys go out searching for aliens together. This way I hadly ever have to reload in slien ship missions. They become really easy with this setup after a while. Is there any other good combinations?
  5. the other exe file by itself made the missions different in the sense that now I have to fight harder transgenants, also it made it so I can research the power cells. but the power cells have given me Nothing. no further research. also the single file made it so when using the medikit now the user needs to be standing in front of the wounded. biggest change was that while before it took me a shit load of won "but the lost missions to the biomass" now I can win a mission and the base is mine. for about a week I had been geting 1 base per day in at least 12 hours of playing. today with this patch I have gotten 21 more bases then yesterday. "THANKYOU to whoever made the patch"

  7. Fixed. if doing it properly doesn't work, use the *other* UFO.exe file already updated to 1.2.
  8. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ALTAR HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ALTAR interactive After I uninstalled UFO:AM, I went into the registry and those above were not there. I looked around for anything similar and also made a registry search for Altar and UFO but nothing came up so I figured that uninstalling would have taken them out on its own. I reinstalled, "again" and applied the 1.2 patch, went into the game and did a CTRL+ALT+I, and it still said that version 1.0 was running.
  9. I check on the geo-scape. Thanks! it says that I have version 1.0 but I have already patched it.. and when I try running the patch file again it still says that I already have 1.2 installed so it won't let me install just the patch again what am I doing wrong.. I reinstalled the game, and installed 1.2.. but it doesn't go on.. anyone else had that?
  10. I have 1.2 installed, even tried installing again but no difference. still cant research power cells

I have sorrounded my important bases by anti-biomass bases to to keep the biomass from getting in. stupid biomass at begining took me down to only 3 bases too. my best 20 guys are now levels 17 to 21. dont tell me I need to restart. need to fix that chit.. someone tell me how ;p any suggestions? **dudeeeee I have clocked Xcom1 6 times, Xcom2 5 times, Xcom3 5 times. IF this chit continues I will give up on this game after only clocking it once

I have 9 bases, in the past 3 days, 10-12 hours of playing each day I have managed to capture 2 bases. Instantly after I win a mission, I lose the base. The 1.2 patch was ment to make the bases turn to be anti-biomass bases by default. This does not happen. I REALLY HAVE TO finish this game even if its very slowly, even if it's at a bases at most per day. BUT SOMEONE MAKE THIS PATCH WORK PROPERLY! I think I may have found a counter bug to the no base on the biomass. make the clock stop when you get back after winning the mission? what happens, is if you can tell the default military base you just won to be an anti-biomass base before the "base lost" messege comes through, then you get to keep that base. it's very odd but I've managed to win 1 or 2 bases like that. I forget now.. been playing too much.. but yeah.. someone fix it ;o PLZ
