I have just completed the second story of my series. It will be published some time soon.

I have started a series of short stories, they are about a former X-COM soldier, left for dead by his comrades in an Alien Base raid, launching a merciless revenge against the ETs that cost him his right arm, his left leg. half his face and his left eye. He's armed with weapons bought from one of X-COM's annual surplus sales. His existence is known to both X-COM and the aliens, and they don't know what area of alien activity that he will strike. I've finished work on the first short story and I'm continuing work on a second in the series. If anyone has any feedback, please apply. The first story will be published soon.

I've only been up against the Ethereals once, and they never did use their psionic powers on my troops, because I never gave them a chance to use them. One laser shot: that's it, bye bye Ethereal! But it was their friends, the Sectopods that defeated me, so with only one trooper remaining, I had to abort than lose my entire squad and my Skyranger.

I saw it being played on a laptop, by a friend back at my fourth school. My dormitory was closed due to lack of staff, so I had to sleep in the Senior Domitory. That night, I saw a senior pupil, pull out a laptop and load UFO. I was amazed by the game, as I had never seen it before, but I watched as he guided his soldiers around a Terror Site map. I jumped when one of his soldiers died. That was how I came across UFO, though I didn't get the Collector's Edition until early-2000.

I'd only use tanks as support weapons, as normally HWPs get wiped by the alien plasma weapons and I avoid getting the tanks in a scrap without infantry support. The last thing I want is an Alien Grenade dropping on top of my two Soldiers and Tank/Cannon or Tank/Laser and blowing up all my units in the blast radius.
