  1. Thanks for the reply. I just installed the total pack and it's pretty good, even though it probably violates the copyright. It's too bad it looks like there aren't gonna be any really good tftd based fan-games any time soon, but I guess we all have better things to do than work on the best game ever made .
  2. It's great to see NKF and BladeFireLight still talking on these forums. I used to be quite into TFTD from whenever it was released until about 2005. At one point I put quite a few hours into "X-Com Project Colonisation". I wrote the music for it. But then it sort of died when no one was contributing anymore. I'm wondering if there are any plans for TFTD in the future. Like for example did SuperEagle or any of these resolution 'enhancers' ever get made for TFTD properly or are there any projects left that are actually working on TFTD.

  5. I know this was ages ago, but I have loads of free time now, and I would like to start this project in C++. However, I suck at graphics designing and I would need someone to do the graphics for me. Anyone into remaking TFTD?
  6. Wait, so because a random alien shoots a random civilian the SWS loses moral whereas none of the other units do.
  7. Ok, I was playing somewhere in the very start of the game, I have 10 units and a Coalanth. This mission is a ship attack terror mission, in the first stage after a couple of turns the coalanth has 92 moral, whereas all my other units have 100, no one died, except aliens and civilians, i didnt even get shot at, its health is full. How can this happen?
  8. not everyone is such a cheat as you are NightShade. CE works fine though, except for it goin too fast.
  9. Ive started a game in tftd on beginner. the CE version so it is v2.0. Ive played for about 5 months. I have started around California. I have 2 wide range sonars. In total, i have detected 2 ships, of which one was probably a dreadnaught and the other was out of sonar range immediately. I have had 2 port attacks and 3 ship attacks around the start of every new month. Is this a coincidence, a bug, or am i doing something wrong. I have only encountered gill men and deep ones, and lobstermen and bio-drones. So I do not have any zrbite or aqua plastics and this is making the game very hard for me. Please help!
  10. No, I have had a lot of games where I cannot get the advanced subs, on different machines and different versions of the game. Probably some sort of playing style. I have, however, had the bombardment shield without the Leviathan.
  11. C++ sounds great, but i think we should start from scratch, because it would be a pain to use the bugged old version of tftd, like this we could solve everything at the same time
  12. This is it. The remake of the best game ever made: TFTD. All new 1024x768 graphics and beautiful physics. The grenades look real when you throw them and the best part is: The source code is open. Everyone works on it. It was probably just one of my stupid ideas, but if anyone is interested, just reply.
  13. In all my years of playing tftd I have never had a base attack either. But lots of Aquatoid/Calcinite terror sites. I don't know why these things happen. It might be so that Micropose has a strange random number generator, which doesn't work very well.

  15. great idea. but you should compensate it with something else, because it might unbalance the game
