Wow... An altar person... That's cool... So! A new XCom game wow! Sorry, I just had to! I think it would be quite cool if we get to acquire new soldiers from missions but I don't think it'd be a good idea to have actual characters. I know how much I hated the final fantasy games when a person HAD to die in order to complete something.

Pete, while UFO:A is nothing to do with XCom and everybody knows this you have got to realise that 99% of the people here at the moment were brought over from XTC. We like XCom and until we see the game we'll probably keep trying to fit it in. Although for the sake of everybody else, I'll try not to... :dontgetit:

I personally don't think it's too likely for modding to be released. At least not for a long time anyway. The reason modding was released on the original XCom games of this type was that they were too old and lacked variation after a certain point. XComutil wasn't even an official program but almost everyone who owns one of the games has a copy. I would think that if this game is really as good as it looks like it will be then there will be no need for modding for a long time...

Surely that would mean there's no reaction fire? That would really suck. Surely there's still reaction fire.

I don't know. The plot's a little wierd. I mean these aliens just come along and annihilate 90% of the population then the remaining 10% regroup and ultimately destroy the aliens... It's going to mess up the XCom saga a bit... I know it isn't actually supposed to be XCom but still all of the other games have run in series and this ones going to mess it up.

One problem that I have with the new game (besides the fact that it isn't an Xcom game ) is the aliens. They all look so ugly and stupid. They don't look menacing at all...
