Allright, the screenshot is at this site: http://xcom-apoc.magix.net/userwebsite;jse...D969CF14493C3C9 I dont know if it will work, if it doesnt, try this one: http://xcom-apoc.magix.net/ and click the X-COM Apocalypse link on the left. I know the site is a little annoying, but when you put the mouse over the image, press the full screen icon on the far right of the toolbar that appears.

Not sure why, but print screen doesnt work. It pastes nothing into paint, and a bunch of empty lines into MS word. If F11 and F12 take screenshots, is there a folder somewhere where i would find them? I'm not sure if it worked though because the game didnt load or anything when i pressed it. Maybe i need to create a screenshots folder in the xcoma file or something. I tried running the origional program rather than the patch, but of course it didnt work by itself, and nothing worked in dosbox.

I know it's been awhile since i've been to these forums, but was playing apoc today, and raided a Marsec apartment on superhuman difficulty. After mowing down about 30 of the pathetic security guys, i went back to the base and found something called a Mind Shield in the inventory. When i right-clicked it for the Ufopedia, it came up with the Toxigun-B clip... I went exploring in the PCX files, and found it looks like the W38.pcx file. I dont know how to take a screenshot, so you'll have to take my word for it, but has this happened to anyone else? I took it into battle, and predictably, it doesnt do anything. It gets highlighted when you click, exactly like the shield generator. I dont know if it actually works because finding phsycic aliens is difficult, and it doesnt do anything to the person's psi defense stat. If anyone would like the saved game i can send it to you, and i havent used any saved game editors, just so everyone knows.

Ya, the first one was my first ever movie so i want sure about the mumbling. You get a lot of sets that come with the games and there are 5 you can buy with VC's (virtual credits i think) that you earn by releasing movies and getting them reviewed. Theres also costumes and props you can buy too. As for the aliens, these first ones are simular in strength to sectoids, without psycic powers though. One shot usually kills them, and they just kind of all around suck. And about the plane, at the moment you cant see big effects like planes and UFO effects look like... well... crap, so i left that out. However, there is an expansion coming out sometime very soon. I read that there will be minature sets and a greenscreen set to make effects like jets, helicopters, and also spacecraft. Theres also a variety of explosions and other such content. I'm holding off the third movie for a bit and bumping the thread about my other two movies in the forums there until I feel they have made enough credits. You only get 25 MB to download movies so I dont want to get rid of the first one just yet...

X-COM: The Second Encounter is now released at http://movies.lionhead.com/movie/70224 ! In this episode, Charlotte and her new squad head out to recover technology from the downed UFO, only to find it long gone. But not all the aliens went with it. Also, keep an eye out from the next movie, X-COM: The Cincinatti Incidint - Charlotte goes on a second mission back to Cincinatti to find any aliens that may have been missed, only to find a new threat. I'll give you guys a hint, this new alien has inherited many techniques from it's Chryssalid ancestors...

I just got a game called The Movies and I made a movie called X-COM: The Fourth Alien War. I posted it online at http://movies.lionhead.com/movie/69876 . Unfortunatley, something happened with the car sound effect and it repeats throughout the movie, although I only noticed it about halfway through watching so its not too big of a deal but it can be annoying. It hasnt got a lot to do with X-COM because it's the first in a series (how can you pack an entire war into on short movie?), and mainly develops the characters and sets the scene. Feel free to make suggestions for new movies (although I already have some ideas) and by all means give suggestions on how to improve the movie for the next one. I'm not sure when the second will be out, it just depends on when i feel like starting a second one

Well, the closest thing i've ever seen to an X-COM movie was the one released by Boba Fett Films as was mentioned earlier. The closest thing i've ever actually DONE was a movie I made a couple days ago in a game called The Movies. It's my first one tho so its not that good.

LOL! I just got the message at the end of the week that went something along the lines of: "The senate considers the performance of X-COM to be so abysmal that it has decided to cease funding." I didnt know you could keep playing after that happened

I think i need a bit of advice. Im currently very late in a game, on superhuman difficulty. I've researched every type of alien i can get exept for live micronoid aggerate, and ive got everything in the physics department... exept for ufo type 5... As it turns out from another site, i need this from the next type of dimensional craft. Right now the aliens are using motherships, battleships, and bombers along with escort ships to constantly bombard the city into the ground, pushing my rating lower and lower each week. I amcurrently at 30k a week for income, but i get any money i need by selling things like personal cloaking devices. I cant imagine how to get a destroyer to come out short of buying massive ammounts of vehicles and taking out every ufo that comes through the gates, and incurring massive losses and losing more money. I normally use hovercars armed with lineage plasma cannons but elerium can often be in short supply. Each week i can normally manage to take down a mothership or battleship, sometimes one of each and often a few bombers but i need some strategy for getting just one destroyer down. I dont want to have to be using bio transports for all of the alien dimension missions.......

how do you actually make a soldier stand on an alien though? if he sees another concious alien, they automatically start moving around and shooting at it. Im guessing that how badly the unconcious alien is stunned goes down while you are standing on it, so if you have been standing on it for a long time and you move off for even half a second, wont it just wake up?

After 5 years searching I finally get the game T.T

Okay, thanks for all the help ill be sure to try it all. Also, about getting the live overspawn, have you ever thought about installing apoc on full (or whaterver setting lets you have the pictures of all ufopaidea objects) and then looking through the file to see if there is a picture of a live overspawn? If there is, its probably likeley they you can either get a live one by killing it with certain weapons, or just pure luck, or its just one of those pictures they made but didnt use. But if it isnt required for any reaserch then i guess it doesnt matter but if i do get a live one i will reaserch it right away and then tell. -

Ive gotta bit of a question, to get the toxin C, u need all aliens dead and alive, but there are 4 aliens that are extremely hard to catch: the Queen, Psimorph, Micronoid, then theres the huge one that comes in motherships, and battleships, and the one that is dropped in the city by the mothership, i just cant remember their names... but one is a megaspawn. Could someone give me tips for capturing these? The one that appears in the mothership ufo attack has those missiles or whatever, and it seems that you either kill it before it can be stunned, or it isnt stunned at all. The psimorph and micronoid are have the same problem plus the difficulty of mind control, and then theres the queen which is almost impossible to fire stun grapples up onto its platform, and the grenades dont work that well, plus the 1 hit KO makes the need for u to make your soldiers evade those slow bolts manually. All the problems are pretty obvious to anyone whose seen all the aliens (and can remember their names ). So can someone give me some strategies to defeat these, please??? All the other aliens i have but these 4 are the worst (the one in the city, do u need to get it alive, or just dead) -
When u edit the XCOM3.bat file or whatever its called, it should look like this @echo off fakecd .. /L:D >nul xcom3_cd.com dosdrv xcomapoc.exe SKIP rem Uninstall process xcom3_cd.com fakecd /U >nul mode co80 cls echo. echo X-COM3 Apocalypse from Alex-God. echo Don't forget Microprose Corporation... pause U could copy and paste it but mine may be different from yours, so the REALLY IMPORTANT THING IS, to put the line 'dosdrv' between the lines 'xcom3_cd.com' and 'xcomapoc.exe SKIP'. As you can see here i have done it to mine already. The other thing is to go into the setup program and change the settings to soundblaster on port=220 irq=7 dma=1. You also need to have VMDsound installed. I hope with this post, there will be no more, or few posts about apoc xp problems because this should answer everything, and if it doesnt, than im just stupid .

I have the collectors edition of the game. When i press attack for a manned craft and click a downed unmanned UFO, it simply picks it up and brings it back to the base. For a manned one, it starts the mission, but i should try the real way . -
