Phoenix Point is the new strategy game from the creator of the original X-COM series. It features turn based tactics and world based strategy in a fight against a terrifying, alien menace.

The Phoenix Project is a worldwide organisation designed to be activated when the world is in peril. You control one cell of the organisation, gathering some of the world’s best scientists, engineers and soldiers. After your cell is activated, you realise that you have no contact with any other cells. You need to find out what happened to them.

The geoscape gives you a strategic view of the world situation. From here you plan all your operations, construction, research and missions. Exploration is an important initial objective. You must attempt to make contact with havens, discover scavenging sites and locate special Phoenix Project sites. You can monitor the thick microbial mist rolling in from the sea which represents an increased threat of alien activity.

The many different battle locations include havens with faction specific facilities and architecture, and scavenging sites, such as abandoned military bases and factories. Our mission system generates battle layouts based on the facilities and structures located at havens, phoenix bases and alien bases. Everything is potentially destructible.

Each mission will require you to deploy a squad of four or more soldiers, sometimes accompanied by aerial or ground based drones. Battles are turn based, with overwatch and return fire providing a great level of interaction. Soldiers have a willpower stat as well as endurance. Will points are used to spend on special abilities and strenuous physical or mental exertion.

Your soldiers gain experience through battles and training in specialised facilities. There are extensive skill trees for each class of soldier. Skill knowledge is developed from research and interaction with other human factions through trading, alliances or conflict.

Astrobase Command - 70's Space Station Builder & Crew Sim

As the invisible administrative hand of an Astrobase in a forgotten corner of the universe, your crew depend on you for their survival.

Build a 3D Astrobase from modular and gameplay-customizable sections, and then assign your personality-driven crew to jobs to keep the simulation running.

Factors like resource logistics and power distribution are modeled in detail. From the custodians and maintenance personnel, to the top scientists and engineers, it is your organization to build!

The RPG system in Astrobase Command is skill-based, supplemented by stats, to determine crew performance and productivity, plus the procedural personalities which influence all gameplay. There is also morale, non-trivial health, and the things one would expect from an RPG simulation made by professionals.

In Astrobase Command you manage the crew at a high level. The characters have minds of their own, and you have no direct control over their decisions and actions. You give the assignments, while their personalities decide the best way to achieve whatever goals and needs they have.

In the sci-fi card game Take the Galaxy players compete against each other or in a solo game mode to earn the most Renown as they explore and colonize an unpredictable galaxy. There are dozens of unique cards representing the wonders of unknown space as well as the colonies, industries and space craft which players can build. With the sheer variety of cards, no game will play out the same! The game is already tested and polished, and the Kickstarter will cover distribution and production starting costs.

You start off with a frontier colony built on a habitable planet. The planet cannot support more civilization colonies, but it does have the logistical potential to expand with a utility colony. Will you aim to seize valuable mineral deposits, and use the income from mining operations to finance expensive high value colonies? Or maybe you prefer to focus on science, and the renown from being the first to research the wonders of this new galaxy? Construct enormous space ships to boost your economy, or cut corners and use moral flexibility to gain an advantage – these are hard choices, but your faction is relying on you!

Hand of Fate: Ordeals - Defiant Development's tabletop adaptation of the action RPG series.

Hand of Fate: Ordeals is a strategic dungeon-crawling and deck-building experience set between the original game and its upcoming sequel. Play competitively or co-op with 1-4 adventurers.

Players draw from a deck of cards and build dungeons on the board from their inventory. Much like its digital counterparts, the tabletop game's open-ended design ensures no two games ever play out the same way. This system ultimately inspires players to return to The Dealer's table with friends, deploying new strategies each and every time.

Your kingdom awaits! Do you have the strength to rule it?

Police Stories

React fast to enemies actions, command your fellow mate to clean up the location and save hostages without unnecessary casualties.

Unforgiving and tense, each mission is a story of police operatives John Rimes and Rick Jones, that involve infiltrating gang hideouts, rescuing hostages, making arrests and many other life-threatening situations.

We present a fresh take on top-down shooters, inspired by gritty police TV shows and films of the 90's - it puts a larger emphasis on tactics and forces you to make split second decisions every time you play. Don't create any unnecessary casualties, push the perps to drop the weapon or shoot to kill – sometimes the situation leaves you with no other choice.

I pledged the Digital Extra Edition ($40, though I got $5 off of that yet) yesterday. I really wanted to do that earlier but I was light on cash in May. At least I'll get my name in the credits at the Bronze Level. One lucky sap with extremely deep pockets ($4000) is actually getting everything plus a meet and greet at Snapshot Games (very cool, but it doesn't say anything about meeting Julian himself). ;)

I'm pretty sure that 4000$ is not pledged by normal person like you and me. I think it must be either someone from the company or an investor who doesn't give a damn about that visit.

Maybe, but I wouldn't discount the possibility of someone plopping down cash for it. Why would be the better question. It's not a good investment in terms of tangible materials acquired, but maybe it's the experience? Your guess is as good as mine. :)

Ok, I had to use teeth to stop my fingers from clicking me into backing. Seriously, I love Neil and his view of the world. I watched most of YT vids with his statements, whole Cosmos series and so forth.

But I'm not going to KS the project, dammit I won't. In idea, this is a gargantuan project. That has very little chances of success. I'll happily pay double the KS price if they pull it off.
