There's a particular issue that I've come to realize, check my reply to a post here

Quote from HARD_sarge:

last crash message was

Assert Fatal

UFO AM release 1.3 file

C:\UFO_SFC\ASL\kvfs.cpp line 441"profile/3rd_try_Saves_name of save.vfs", disk full

file size on last file attempt was 10756

Self quote from that thread:

308 bytes for the VFS header

524288 bytes for VFS fat table

2816 bytes for VFS root directory

10485760 bytes for VFS clusters

11013172 total bytes that a VFS save game file can have at most

roughtly 10.5 MB ~ 10755 KB

That is the theory behind it, think I'll try speeding up the moon mission research and try it since I'm playing in hard difficulty without mods, see what happens if I try to save. The result will either, discover yet another bug (and pretty much an important one) or that modding requires a bit of control.

Erm, think I haven't been clear on this.

The problem is not modded VFS themselves, but the ammount of data they introduce into the game. The problem occurs when the game needs to create a SAVE VFS. It seems that all that data causes SAVE VFS to fill up quite a lot (particulary when saving during the final mission) and cause the "Disk full" error (the VFS disk that is)

Well....

since I am the one seeing this, I got the game patched up to 1.3 before I even started playing it

I have only seen it once with RB6.3

have the game modded to RB6.4 now and so far no trouble

something to look at, maybe the blood mod

I kind of think from what I have seen in the last mission that crashed, was I got jumped by 7-8 Car Crabs and I had blood all over the place

other then that, the only mission I had trouble with was the moon mission after entering the base
