Chaon
I have noticed that there are rooms in the alien bases that are missing textures and show up as a default looking Dull Blue texture. I was thinking that it might be a special room but finally decided that it was a missing texture. Anyone else had this problem? StormLord
I don't see dull blue rooms, but there are these weird Shiny rooms without any texture. Since the new drivers cause trouble elsewhere in the game, it might help to rollback them, but I have not tried this yet.

Skeelo
Yes I've had this problem, I also raised a post about it a few months back and the general opinion was this is the way it was meant to be. :hmmm: To be honest I still don't think it is right, It just doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the level design. doors that join to these sections have textures but the walls do not! bizarre.missing textures or the way it was meant to be?I guess we may never know! Slaughter
Why don't you take a screenshot and send it to ALTAR? They will probably be glad for feedback if this is a game bug. Also keep the savegame where this happens, in case they require it. I think it is support@altarinteractive.com
Skeelo
Ok i have got the screen shot and I've backed up the save game. Aralez
I have an idea, maybe you could look at the ublocks in the modding-tool-viewer, and see if that's the way they are planned to look like? I think they are supposed to look like that, but i could be wrong...

Skeelo
Well since i don't have my own web space the screen shot will have to be for my eyes only oh well!
Skeelo
Well I've had a response from altar support and they have confirmed that the blue textures are a design feature and thats how its supposed to look.

Mazdek
Id love to see that screenshot posted right here.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, a year and a half late, here's a screenshot of it. https://isidis.kasei.net/~mazdek/screens/UFOA/Clipboard02sm.jpg I find it odd that its supposed to look that way. Slaughter, did your ships have rooms like that in them? I haven't played any PRTT (pausable real-time tactical) games since UFO:Am, so I'm getting some practice in before UFO:As comes out. infael
Skeelo, amazed you got a response from ALTAR support. They completely ignored my requests for support with in-game stack crashes and vid card issues...

baka
I might as well post the question here too. Cut and pasted from my other post: I think i can use a custom setting for particular programs, i have never used it tho. Yeah, i can set up a special custom setting for ufo.exe So what should i set for maximum compatibility with the game? :-/ GLOBAL SETTINGS (i can change the same in a custom setting for a program)----------------------------------anisotropic filtering : application-controlled/off/2x/4x/8x/16x Antialiasing - setting: application-controlled/4x/2x/none conformant texture clamp use hardware/off/use open gl specification extension limit on/off force mipmaps none/bilinear/trilinear maximum pre-rendered frames : 0-8 Multi display/mixed-GPU acceleration :single/multiple/compatibility performance mode Texture filtering - Anisotropic mip filter optimization: on/off Texture filtering - Anisotropic sample optimization: on/off Texture filtering - Negative LOD bias: allow/clamp Texture filtering - quality: high performance to quality Texture filtering - trilinear optimization: on/off Tripple buffering : on/off vertical sync : use 3d application setting/force/off Sorry, i just noticed the last pic was not shrunk for forum use.. >_<
