Danial
I've been curious about this for a while, but have never really looked into it too much, but I was wondering if someone can explain to me what everything means and does in a UFO map? Okay, so I'm using Daishiva's MapView program, and when I open a map there's a RMPView window. This is the stuff I have no idea about. Under node info, there's stuff like "Type", "Rank", "Flags", "Zero", "Spawn" and "Link1-5" and I'd like to know what it all means etc. Can anyone help me? BladeFireLight
When all else fails. Read the manualMap View Online Manual Altho the file is out of date on some fuctionality It does explain routes in detail. -Blade FireLight
Hobbes
You might also want to take a look at this. It is documentation I wrote for adding maps to UFO2000. While it doesn't explain the Routes it describes other aspects of map designing.

Danial
It's funny to think that 10 years on, this sort of node-based AI navigation system is still being used. I made a multiplayer map for Jedi Academy earlier this year, and part of the process was to go through and mark nodes that the bots could follow!
